Let's close our eyes.
Of you being in this room right now.
Without any imagination,
Without any imagery of what the room looks like.
Without a simple recognition that I am in this room.
Without any imagination,
Without any imagery of what the room looks like.
Without any imagination,
Without any imagery of what the room looks like.
There is something about the space around us.
That once it is recognized,
We can feel it.
I remember watching a short video some time ago.
Where someone was talking about plants and they mentioned that if you have soil or water or and water and they mentioned space for the plant to grow.
A plant will most likely grow.
Without space to grow,
It won't.
As if there is some hidden quality of the space.
Which is so obvious that it is overlooked.
So as you become aware of you being in this room and the presence of space around you.
See if you can feel as if the space is supporting you.
All around and through.
Just like a plant wouldn't grow without space.
What would it be like to be alive without the space?
What would it be like to be alive without the space?
Because of the progress in technology.
Now we know that if we zoom in enough,
We find more space than atoms and molecules and electrons and protons.
They are separated by space.
So even the chair or the floor that we are sitting on is more space than substance.
It wouldn't be a stretch to feel that somehow in some weird way that the space is actually supporting us.
This is not a mental exercise.
That's why I asked you to feel it,
Not to think about it.
Once you become aware of the space around you,
Within you.
Notice what happens to the state of your mind.
No matter what the previous state of mind was.
Just being aware of yourself for no particular reason,
Without controlling anything,
Without imagining anything,
Without thinking,
Without any self-talk,
Without any kind of interference.
Notice the state of your mind.
And then come back to yourself.
Even the simple act of breathing.
Can become a great source of wisdom.
We all agree that there is space around us and within us.
We don't need to think about it.
We know it.
So giving our thinking a little break here.
We can proceed purely with what we are experiencing.
We all know the conceptual model of what happens when we breathe.
We breathe oxygen in,
Breathe out,
Carbon dioxide.
Let's leave all conceptual models aside for a while.
And really pay attention to what happens when we breathe.
It's as if when we breathe.
When we breathe,
It's as if there is more space created within us or it's as if we are breathing in the space and then breathing out the space.
And I know this does not make any sense.
But let's keep our analytical minds aside.
And let's enter this metaphorical world.
Just for a little bit.
It's as if we are breathing in the space outside us little by little and putting it inside and breathing out the space back out.
The support of the space that we feel outside.
Or the subtle support that we feel outside.
The same support is being breathed in.
The nourishment of the space as you breathe in.
And the relaxation of the space as you breathe out.
As if even while breathing out.
Even as if you are breathing out the space.
As if you are expanding like the space feeling the relaxation.
So it is nourishing going in and it is nourishing coming out.
It is supporting all around and it is supporting from within.
As subtle and as gentle the space is.
That is how it feels inside.
There's no violence.
There's no pushing.
There's no forcing.
As we breathe in the chest the belly even our pelvis area expands a little.
And as we breathe out it relaxes.
Space going in and space coming out.
As we breathe in the chest the belly even our pelvis area expands a little.
As we breathe in the chest the belly even our pelvis area expands a little.
As we breathe in the chest the belly even our pelvis area expands a little.
Notice how your chest rises.
Your posture straightens as you breathe in.
As the space gets created you're pulled straight and expanded.
And as you breathe out there is no collapse.
There is just relaxation as if you're freely floating in this space without the slightest care of falling down.
As you breathe in the chest the belly even our pelvis area expands a little.
As we breathe in the chest the belly even our pelvis area expands a little.
We could go a little bit further in this metaphorical world.
Leaving aside the conceptual model that we are breathing through our nose and breathing out through our nose or mouth.
With our eyes closed and without the use of any analytical skills.
See if you can feel as if you're breathing through your entire face.
It doesn't have to make sense just feel it.
You It's like there is a porous membrane.
Separating outer space from inner space.
And as you breathe in and out.
Inner space cannot be distinguished from the inner space.
As if the space is passing through you.
Entering from the front and leaving from behind.
Entering from the bottom and leaving from top.
While you remain here.
Unaffected yet aware of all this happening.
Open and locked.
Take your time coming out of this.
Thank you.
