Welcome back.
I'm excited to share a mountain practice together.
Find a way to get comfortable with your body.
You can do this standing,
Sitting,
Or lying down.
If sitting,
You can use a chair,
A couch,
A bed.
If laying down,
Be on your belly or back,
Whatever feels comfortable to you.
There's no wrong way to do this because only you know what will feel best in your body at this time.
Allow your eyes to gently close or if you prefer,
You can keep them open.
If keeping them open,
Find something to look at that isn't moving so your eyes don't have to work for the next few minutes while we're together.
Take the biggest breath in that you've taken all day and then let it go.
And now take a moment to become still.
Still with your voice and your thoughts and your body.
Be with your breath and with me.
Now bring into your mind a majestic,
Tall,
Strong mountain.
One that you've seen or one that you create with your imagination.
And it can be a single mountain or part of a big,
Vast mountain range.
Imagine your body becoming like the mountain,
Grounded and solid and still.
Feel strong like a mountain.
Your legs can be the base and your arms can be the slopes and your head can be the peak of the mountain,
The tip of the mountain.
Your arms can be down by the side of your body or up overhead,
Whichever feels comfortable for you.
Again,
Coming back to feeling solid and still and grounded.
And mountains live out in nature.
And they go through all of the seasons that Mother Nature offers us.
The changing colors and falling of leaves in the autumn.
The wind and snow and ice in the winter.
The melting of snow and rain and return of animals and birds in the spring.
And the warmth of the sun and the heat in the summer.
And the mountains remain grounded and centered and present and solid and still during all of those seasons.
And at this time,
With whatever's happening in your life and in the world,
Think of it as one of the seasons and this season will pass.
And another season will begin.
The mountains stand tall during sunrise and sunsets.
Through dark and light.
Still and grounded.
Just like you.
And just like me.
Allowing whatever's happening to come and go.
Staying in our center.
In a moment,
We'll be coming back into our day.
So wherever you are,
Take one more opportunity to find your stillness and your center and your mountain.
Knowing that you can return to this mountain and return to this recording at any time.
Rooted and centered and solid and strong.
And then as you feel ready,
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Bringing movement back into your body.
If your eyes were closed,
Allow them to open.
Take back in the surroundings and as you move back into the day.
Know that I'm right there with you and we'll be very excited to when we again get to share time together.
