My body listens to everything I think and say.

I dress my body,

I bathe my body,

I at times criticize my body,

I miss the way it was.

I can pivot and offer phrases of kindness at any time.

We have this wonderful capacity to direct our attention,

To offer and send kind thoughts with our mind.

Whatever is happening in your particular body,

Can you hold it with compassion and care?

This type of practice is an opportunity to sweeten our own hearts.

My body has and continues to shift and change,

And I feel this practice can be an antidote to mixed relationships I have with my body at this time in my life.

It can be done as a full scan from head to toe,

Sending wishes to head,

Face,

Shoulders,

Arms,

Belly,

Back,

Legs and feet.

It can also be aimed at a particular area,

Perhaps one that needs extra attention or healing.

Phrases can be whatever feels appropriate and comfortable.

I'll offer a few ideas below,

And I'll invite you to find phrases that feel right for you.

For breast cancer awareness,

We'll be bringing our attention to this area of the body,

Allowing whatever may have happened or is happening in this area to be just as it is.

Take a purposeful pause in your day.

Allow your eyes to soften or close.

Feel your seat or your feet connected to a surface.

Take a gentle breath in.

And when your body informs you,

A gentle breath out.

Spend as short or as long as you'd like to linger in this practice.

Silently offer any phrases or words or thoughts to your breasts that feel right for you.

May you be at ease.

May you be well.

May you be safe.

May you rest.

May you feel appreciated.

May you feel loved.

So choosing a phrase or phrases that feel aligned with what you'd like to offer to this part of your body.

The powerful simplicity of this practice has healing properties far beyond what we may or may not know.

And at any time,

You can make a choice to take a purposeful pause and direct these kind well wishes of compassion and care to anywhere that may be wanting or needing them.
