Hi friends,
I welcome you to the 12th day of the 21 meditations and today we are going to do something called as mindful walk.
But walking is not something new to us right.
We have been doing it since we remember but mindful walking might be a little difficult or different.
So let me show it to you what exactly it is and we'll take it forward from there.
Okay.
Take a position wherever you may be sitting.
So right now I'm just demonstrating it for you and then you can start later on.
Okay.
Take whatever take one position in your room or any of your living hall.
You don't need a lot of space for this.
Breathe in and breathe out a few times.
Integrate your thoughts and instead of looking in front I want you to be looking on the floor.
I will now slowly take the camera towards my feet to show you how this walk is going to be.
So breathe in and breathe out a few times and get conscious of your feet on the floor and whenever you feel ready slowly start by lifting any one feet.
Be as slow and as still as possible.
Feel your heels,
Feel your toes,
Feel the pressure shifting from your calves to your legs to your feet to your ankles and keep looking at your feet throughout the meditation.
If it's getting a little bit of difficult for you to lift your leg because of physical reasons you don't need to lift it and you can just slide.
Be with your feet,
Be with the walk,
Be with it.
As I showed you the demonstration I want you to pick a spot wherever you would like to start the walk from.
Stand straight.
So breathe in and breathe out a few times.
You don't need to close your eyes for this meditation.
Keep your eyes towards your feet.
Feel your feet.
You could be barefoot or wearing socks as much as possible.
I would not recommend you to wear shoes or any kind of sneakers.
I would want you to feel the ground as much as possible and whenever you feel very slowly and gently start the walk.
Be as gentle as possible.
Be as mindful as possible and don't forget to breathe in and breathe out.
Look at your feet.
Feel the pressure shifting from your feet to your calves to your ankles to your knees to your quadriceps to your shin bone,
To your toes,
To your heels.
As the time goes by slowly start reducing your speed more and more.
Absolutely slow.
Keep looking at your feet.
Slowly become one with the walk.
Like I'm feeling one with you right now when I'm speaking with you.
As if I'm actually there in your room.
In your place.
Be with me.
Be with the voice.
Then become one with your walk.
Feel it.
Keep the room where you're practicing this and as the space is less you can always go round and round.
Be with the walk.
Slow down.
Let your breath slow down slowly.
Let your thoughts slow down.
Completely slow down.
Please don't stop immediately with a jerk.
Take a time when you're coming back.
Take a time and see that both the feet are on the ground.
No need to rush with it.
Once you feel that both the feet are on the ground keep looking at the feet.
Breathe in and breathe out a few times and as you do that slowly start looking up.
Slowly start looking up.
Feel your feet.
Feel your knees.
Feel your hands.
Your spine.
Your shoulders.
And slowly come back when you feel complete.
How are you feeling right now?
Do let me know.
As I told you before I would love to know.
I want you to practice this walk throughout the day whenever possible.
I would not want you to know your boss is saying something and you have some work and you're just walking slowly and they're like oh why you're not walking fast.
Don't do any of that.
If you're able to go out in the nature and practice it barefoot on the grass it's beautiful.
It's beautiful getting in touch with nature directly.
No no no disturbance in between.
Try it out and we do it for as long as possible.
Feel free to practice it on a daily basis.
It's beautiful.
You know we've got so many distractions,
So many things around us that slowing down really can help us to focus in a much beautiful manner,
To bring in much more clarity,
To bring in much more relaxation what we what we actually need in our life to live a healthy life ahead.
Have a beautiful day and I will see you tomorrow morning or tomorrow evening whenever you access the sessions and I will see you tomorrow for our next beautiful meditation.
Till then.
