Hello everyone and I welcome you to the 11th day of 21 days mindfulness sessions and today we are going to do something as active as I am talking to you today because we are going to do laughter meditation.
Exactly.
So we are going to use laughter as a technique to bring about a meditation.
It is an active meditation where we do some kind of an activity and in the first stage and in the second stage we sit in silence and in that case meditation happens as a result of how we participate in stage one.
So stage one we are laughing and we are laughing and we are laughing and we are laughing and we are laughing and we are laughing and we are laughing.
Whatever you feel,
Feel free to feel what you want to feel but we are laughing till the time the stage ends and in stage two we are just simply sitting in silence.
So I am going to demonstrate you the stage one even though we all know how to laugh but sometimes when we do it consciously as a meditation we need to put slight effort to get into it.
We need to do a deliberate action of laughing even though we might not feel like laughing immediately right now but we need to do a deliberate action and acting to get into it and then slowly you will witness that laughter takes over it.
I am going to show you the demonstration right now.
Just be with me.
I am just going with it.
At the count of three,
One,
Two and three.
Aum,
Aum Aum,
Aum Aum Aum,
Aum,
Aum Aum And you keep going on and you keep going on and keep going on.
I'm loving it.
And you keep going on and on and on.
And in the second stage,
You practically be sitting in silence.
Please don't get overwhelmed.
Do it as per your capacity.
Do it as much you're able to.
And enjoy it.
There is no that we have to perform in a certain manner.
So do it as per your capacity.
Take your positions.
There are some times when we're doing certain meditations.
If you feel that,
You know,
Especially when we're doing active meditation,
And if you feel that you might end up opening your eyes and will not be able to go deeper,
It's all is recommended in case you would like to wear a scarf or a blindfold on your eyes to help you to go deeper.
And if you feel that really works really,
I've been trying for a long time.
And if you feel you would like to do that,
Please go ahead and do that.
Okay,
You can pause the video,
Get a scarf or your handkerchief or a blindfold in case you have and you can wear that on your eyes and start again.
Yeah.
So take your positions.
In case you would like to wear your blindfolds,
Please do that now.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Initial few moments I will join you with a laughter to help you.
Breathe in and breathe out a few times.
And as you do that,
Gently close your eyes.
Relax your body,
Relax the shoulders,
Relax your hands.
Just wriggle them a little bit,
Shake them apart,
Shake your hands a little bit.
Be absolutely active and alive in this moment right now.
If you feel standing might help you to be more active and laugh it out,
You're absolutely free to do that in this meditation.
Take your positions.
At the count of three,
I will ring my gong and we're going to start with a stage one of laughter.
At the count of three,
One,
Two and three.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Keep going on and keep going on and keep laughing and keep laughing.
Keep laughing.
Feel what you have to feel but keep laughing.
Keep laughing to the best of your capacity and keep going on.
Keep going on.
I'm with you right now.
I'm with you right now.
Keep going on and keep laughing and keep laughing.
Don't look for any reason to laugh.
Just keep laughing.
Get into laughter.
Get into laughter.
Become one with laughter in this moment right now.
Just become one with laughter.
Leave everything aside.
Leave all your worries aside.
Leave whatever you're not okay with aside,
Whatever you're very much okay with aside.
Re-decide your life right now and just become one with your laughter right now.
That's the point.
And keep going on and on and on.
Keep going on and keep laughing and keep going on.
Keep going.
Just one minute to go for it guys.
Keep laughing.
Keep laughing.
Keep laughing to the best of your capacity.
Just laugh it out.
Just laugh it out.
Feel free to roll,
Roll yourself on the floor.
Laugh the way you want with whatever volume.
Different kinds of laughter.
Laugh it out.
Genuinely just laugh it out.
Laugh it out.
Laugh it out.
Take it out.
Be as loud as possible right now and just laugh it out.
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
Keep going guys.
Keep going.
Keep going.
And keep going.
And gently relax yourself.
As we enter stage two of silence.
In stage two if you were standing and doing the meditation you could be standing.
If you are sitting on the floor please place both your palms on the floor and if you are sitting on the chair please place both your palms on your knees and enjoy your silence.
Keep breathing in and keep breathing out and be as still as possible.
Witness what's going on in your body.
Listen to different sounds around you.
Be awake and alive in this moment.
Be as still as possible.
Check your breathing in and breathe out.
Relax your hands.
Slowly start preparing yourself to come back to the room or the place you are sitting right now.
Come back to your body.
Move your toes.
Move your fingers.
Come back to the breath.
Once you complete slowly open your eyes.
I wish you were there full of laughter and full of happiness.
I would like you to consciously laugh it out today.
Laugh.
Not just smile.
Laugh.
If you feel you are not used to it,
It's okay.
Let's start the journey.
Take care of yourself and I will see you tomorrow with another meditation.
Take care of yourself.
