Feel your body arrive here.
Now.
Notice the air on your skin.
The rise and fall of your breath.
This is your ground.
The place from which you meet the world.
Compassion is not weakness.
It's a solid strength.
It is not bending yourself out of shape to keep others comfortable.
It is the courage to stay open when it would be easier to shut down.
And sometimes it is the courage to say no.
To say no.
Fierce compassion is the kind that stands tall without armoring the heart.
The kind that refuses harm without losing kindness.
It's the ability for the heart to tremble but not shatter.
Feel your body where it is resting.
Let your breath deepen.
With each inhale,
Imagine drawing strength into your spine.
With each exhale,
Imagine softening your chest.
Letting warmth flow into your heart.
Letting go of your worries and anxieties.
Picture someone you care for.
Someone you wish well.
See them before you.
Not as a perfect being.
But as they are.
Human.
Imperfect.
Learning.
And if speaking from the heart itself.
Whisper inside.
May you be well.
May you be safe.
May you be free from harm.
And now offer those words to yourself.
Feeling your own presence is equally important.
May I be well.
May I be safe.
May I be free from harm.
Notice how compassion for them and compassion for yourself can live in the same space.
One does not diminish the other.
Fierce compassion is the meeting point where love and clarity stand side by side.
Where we can say,
I care for you,
And I will not allow this to continue.
Keeping the heart open.
But our stance,
Our posture,
Strong.
Rest here.
Strong back.
Soft front.
A heart unarmored,
Yet unshakable.
And as we bring this meditation to a close,
Hold this truth.
Compassion is not about pleasing.
It's about seeing clearly and acting with care.
Care for others and also for yourself.
It's a strength.
One where few dare to tread.
But walking the path of compassion.
Doesn't weaken you,
If it's real compassion.
It strengthens you.
And it holds the whole world.
Take one more deep breath.
Feel your strength and your softness.
And carry them together out into the world.
