Welcome to Painted Breath and Healing Meditation.
Please make sure that you are in a comfortable position that you can maintain for the next 15 minutes.
And then as you begin to settle into this position,
Please take in the shape of your legs,
Whatever that might be.
Cross-legged,
Folded behind you in a bed,
Laying straight out on the floor.
Just take in the curvature.
Take in their heaviness.
And then please bring awareness to your torso into the length specifically of your torso.
And feel with every inhale that that length grows.
Being sure to maintain the length as you breathe out.
And then please take in your entire body,
The shape of your body and the space that you take up.
Feel rooted,
But expansive.
And now please begin to draw a circle around your body with some kind of element or item that you would find out in nature.
And just see this item,
This element beginning to form a circle around you.
It can be a circle around the outside of your body going from top to bottom,
Side to side.
It could be a complete arc or a bubble surrounding every part of you.
Whatever you see,
Whatever you feel,
This is your healing circle.
And then outside of this healing circle,
Another element or item from nature,
Allow that to draw itself around you.
This is your circle of protection.
See it binding this close circle.
And then outside of this circle,
Draw another.
Again with an element,
Moonlight,
Starlight,
Anything,
The first thing that comes to you,
Allow this to draw a circle around you.
This is your circle of support.
And then just outside of the circle of support or maybe even in between it,
In between your element,
Begin to see or sense the ancestors,
The mentors,
The creatures,
The long-lost friends and family who have helped to shape you,
Who have supported you,
Who have supported you and have always offered their insight,
Their advice.
All of the people and the creatures who have believed in you,
Let all of these along with your element make up your circle of support.
And feel them there.
Move back into your circle of protection.
This tight-knit element staying very close.
And then move into again your circle of healing closest to your body.
So allow all three of these circles to remain with you as we bring now awareness to the breath.
And to begin,
Just please simply see your breath moving up on inhale and down on exhale.
And now along with this movement,
Begin to see the breath as if it were a paintbrush,
Revealing one color to you,
Revealing that color as you inhale,
That paintbrush moves up.
And as you exhale,
That same color moves down with the down stroke of the paintbrush.
Just staying with your breath as this paint stroke,
Watching the color,
The texture,
The width,
Its thickness,
Any of the qualities that appear to you.
Simply watch.
As you inhale,
Watch the breath move up as this,
As it becomes this pain stroke.
And down.
We'll continue here for another two minutes.
The less you try,
The easier it will be,
The more you'll see.
So stay with your breath as the pain stroke,
Seeing,
Sensing without trying the color and the qualities that come with it.
About another minute.
So a couple of minutes.
And then begin to see the breath as the paint stroke and those colors,
Those qualities,
Let those soften into nothing.
Just simply feeling your body breathe while feeling also surrounded by all of these elements,
All of these people,
Creatures,
Ancestors.
Feel the support that they've given you throughout your life and in this meditation and time in particular.
Bring yourself closer in to the element,
To the item that surrounds you as your circle of protection.
Feeling safe,
Feeling secure.
And moving more deeply into the element that surrounds you as your circle of healing.
And feel the light or the qualities that come from the element that you've chosen.
And then feel the light or the qualities that surround you as your circle of healing.
And feel the light or the qualities that come from the element that you've chosen.
You feel that starting to glow,
Radiating toward your body.
And then feel this element and their healing qualities moving into one particular space where you know you need healing.
A little more time,
A little more care spent there.
Feel this element filling up this one space with its unique healing properties.
And then take both of your hands,
Rub them together a little bit to generate some heat,
And place them on that same part of your body where the qualities of your healing circle are going.
Are filling up and then use the heat from your hands and the intention as the healer with your hands.
Also filling up this space.
Bow your head slightly and then offer a prayer.
Set an intention to commit to this healing.
And then keep that slight bow of your head and then take your hands and place them over your eyes.
And then take your hands and place them on your head.
And then take your hands and place them on your head.
And then keep that slight bow of your head and then take your hands and place them over your eyes.
So they're warm already from being heated on your body.
Begin to offer a little light through the hands.
Opening the eyes a little bit at a time,
Coming back when you're ready.
And then bringing your hands into your heart center,
Bowing to the light that emanates from your healing circle that fills you up,
That offers you complete healing.
