Hello my friend.
Welcome to this guided meditation for self-care.
On today's agenda we are getting our mental health together and that starts with slowing down and checking in.
If this is your first time to my channel,
Welcome.
My name is Amber.
I'm a corporate girl and a meditation teacher and I make content for people like me who have a lot going on and who may sometimes struggle with work-life balance and feelings of stress and anxiety.
If you're also interested in creating an intentional peaceful life then you're in the right place and I hope that you will subscribe.
Let's begin today's practice with our eyes open,
Keeping a soft focus on our surroundings and just taking a moment here to settle in to wherever you are and gradually begin to bring the attention to the breath,
Taking a nice slow easy inhale and then release the breath as you exhale.
And a few more just like that.
Notice how the chest rises as you inhale and falls with each exhale and gradually you may close your eyes whenever it feels right.
So sometimes if we're out of practice,
Doing self-care may come with some mixed feelings.
We may feel that we don't have time for it or that there might be something better or more productive that we ought to be doing instead.
It's totally normal to feel this way and like anything else,
Feeling comfortable with prioritizing ourselves and our wellness gets easier with practice.
So as you scan through,
Observing the current state of your body and your mind,
If you notice these kinds of thoughts and feelings arise,
Feel free to acknowledge their presence and then allow them to pass as this is your time to rest and check in.
Notice how it is today in your physical body.
If there are any strong physical sensations present,
See if you can breathe into them.
And similarly,
Noting the quality of the mind today,
Observing without any commentary or judgment,
Remembering that you are safe and supported.
And now as we draw near to the end of this meditation,
Maybe take one more nice deep breath,
Rinsing out the body.
You may slowly open the eyes and perhaps warm up the body again with a nice big stretch.
And before you go,
Take a moment to notice how you feel.
Do you feel more balanced,
Relaxed,
Or at ease?
Remembering that this feeling comes from you and is always available to you.
All you have to do is slow down enough to feel it.
I'm so proud of you for taking this time for yourself today.
I hope you feel the same and I'll see you again in the next one.
