There is a quiet kind of tired that comes from unnecessary complexity.
Not the tired of effort or challenge,
But the tired of too many rules,
Too many expectations,
Too many ways we think we should be.
I've noticed this in my own life,
And I'll ask you,
How often do you make things harder than they need to be?
Because I do it,
Not because they're hard,
But because I'm carrying old assumptions.
Sometimes complexity is not about the situation.
It's about the story we are telling ourselves about it.
That has to be perfect.
That has to be proven.
That has to look a certain way to be valid.
But simplicity is not failure.
It is discernment.
For me,
Choosing simplicity has meant asking a different kind of question.
What is actually required here in this moment?
Not what is expected,
Not what is impressive,
Just what is true.
That shift has been surprisingly liberating.
It has allowed me to let go of mental hoops,
Emotional clutter,
And self-imposed pressure that was honestly never necessary to begin with.
Simplicity creates space,
And space creates choice.
When we stop overcomplicating,
We can finally listen.
So,
I want to offer you a gentle reflection.
Where are you still adding layers that no longer serve you?
You do not have to simplify everything all at once.
Just notice one place where relief might be available.
If you find that one place,
Let me know in the comments.
Because I know it took me a long time to identify many places where I had complexity that didn't need to be.
It's not about shrinking your life.
It's about removing what distracts you from it.
You are allowed to choose simplicity not as a shortcut,
But as a form of self-respect.
Often,
What gets simple is exactly what becomes sustainable.
