Meet your Teacher

Rabbi Sara Brandes is the founder of Awakened Body, a Certified Integral Therapist and Hands-on Healer. She makes her home in the Holy Land where she supports clients in feeling vitally alive. A mystic, she roots her teaching and personal spiritual practice in the wisdom of Kabbalah. She was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary and is author of Magical World: Stories, Reflections, Poems.

What Is Malkhut Or Shekina?

This brief introductory lecture teaches you about the Kabbalistic notion of Malkut or Shekhina. As explained in this session, the Sefira is equivalent to the the Greek notion of Gaia or the Native American notion of Mother Earth.

Guided Meditation 1: Breathing Hesed

In this extended guided session, our aim is to feel Hesed, Divine unconditional love, from the inside. This practice based guided meditation session opens with a three minute song to inspire you from artist Rabbi Menachem Creditor. They seated silent practice begins around 14:00. The guided meditation lessons are intended to be journeyed in order 1 – 5.

Guided Meditation 2 - Help It Grow

In the second guided meditation in the Kabbalah of Love, we explore the limitless capacity we have to increase love in our lives by acting a sources of love for all of those around us. Contemplative practice in this session begins at 12:00, and encourages you to practice with a living being such as a house plant.

Guided Meditation 3 - Holy Yearning

In this third guided meditation in the Kabbalah of Love, we practice a form of radical self acceptance as we acknowledge that the yearning we experience in our lives is not sinful, but rather an expression of divinity. Such self acceptance, indeed self love, is a prerequisite to the practices in the fourth guided meditation on calling in love.

Guided Meditation 4 - Calling In Love

This is the guided meditation that many of our students are seeking when they come looking for the Kabbalah of Love. However, our emphasis in this course is that this practice for calling in love rests within the loving embrace of each of the other lessons in this course. If you are trapped in the mistaken belief that there is a scarcity of love in your life or in the universe, we recommend working with one of the other guided meditations today, and returning to this practice when you have a felt sense of the love that surrounds and fills every nook and cranny of the earth plane.

Guided Meditation 5: Full Of Love

Having mastered each of the previous steps in the Kabbalah of Love, we are ready now to look around and perceive a world full of love. The guided open awareness meditation practice in the session begins at 10:00.
