Finding Inner Balance: Journey To Enduring Well-Being

With Beth Kurland, Ph.D.

This 8-day course is for anyone seeking to find greater inner balance amidst the day-to-day turbulence of life and the accompanying uneasiness, stress, overwhelm, anxiety, frustration and other range of emotions that we often encounter. Instead of trying to improve or change yourself, fix your feelings or change your life circumstances, this course will teach you how to shift your vantage point to discover the deep “well” of well-being that is already here. Once you learn how to shift your vantage point, you gain access to this enduring well-being within that is part of your true nature, the essence of who you are. When we learn to work with our more unpleasant feelings and how to meet and greet them from different viewing points – something transformative happens. What we discover is an innate capacity for ease, compassion and self-compassion, presence, perspective, balance, and deep well-being even amidst the ups and downs of our life. This course is based on my newest book You Don’t Have to Change to Change Everything: Six Ways to Shift Your Vantage Point, Stop Striving For Happy, and Find True Well-Being. I hope you’ll join me for this journey to learn and experience for yourself how to find inner balance and an unshakeable core of well-being.

Thank you for developing this helpful course and sharing your knowledge and experience Beth. You provide a different perspective on the ways we tend to engage with challengeing situations - which is often by regularly relying on our older primitive operating system (which has its role but not suitable for longterm use) rather than our newer thriving operating system (which is more fit for purpose). You provide a useful understanding of difficult emotions and how to manage them (through acknowledgement and compassion rather than oppressing them or allowing them to dominate). Achieving this through using some great strategies to shift our vantage points and, in doing so, provide us with access to inbuilt well-being tools we all have. Loved your car analogies (the stop start one describing the 2 operating systems and the one about the choice of a strength to have as a passenger) and the magic trick example to convey your ideas. I have already shared some of your strategies with my family and one of my friends. I look forward to practising making use of them myself and being more self compassionate and understanding towards myself - all with the aim of supporting my well-being. Thank you again Beth. Kindest regards, Phil.🌞
