Just exhale longer than you inhale.
Let your feelings bubble up and be your teacher.
Now center on an aspect of your life where there is great joy or love,
Like a person whom you love or an experience you have had that brought you great joy.
Rest into this feeling and know that you are loved.
Just as you feel love and joy with this person or experience,
Allow it to experience you.
We do this to center ourselves into our heart space,
The place of deep feeling and love.
Once centered into this feeling,
We are receptive to all that we need in our meditation experience.
Allow yourself to experience your settling and relaxing into this moment.
Let us begin with bringing to mind a deep and passionate desire of your heart.
What is something that you are seeking?
It can be large or small.
Think something that has been on your mind lately and name that desire.
Try keeping it to just one or two words.
It can be fluid until you are able to name it.
Once you know your desire,
Envision what you see this desire to look like,
Feel like,
Sound like and be like.
What is your vision of this desire?
It can be how it would look when your goal or desire has been reached.
What does this look like for you?
You have your desire.
You can see the vision now.
What energy will you give this when you are faced with obstacles and challenges?
This is not easy work.
Focus on what may come across your path and when that does happen,
And it will,
What energy will you give it?
What strategy can you enact when faced with challenges?
Finally what practice can you begin or continue to help you reach this desire?
Is it to spend more time on focused meditation?
Is it to remember when you feel anxious you will take several deep breaths?
Is it a physical practice like walking to help you reach your desire?
What will your practice look like?
You have taken great care to relax your body,
Focus on yourself and create a deep meditation.
Take this as far into your day as possible.
You might like to write this down so you can remember it when you want to put it into action.
A reminder that D is for desire,
E is for envisioning,
E is for energy,
And P is for practice.
This is deep and passionate work.
You might need to give yourself some self-care to assist you in your desire.
May you know that your feelings are what matter,
That your heart and desires are what matter and you matter completely.
