Join Mary Teresa in affirming your compassion for self and others. When we linger in the negative field of resentment, hurt and pain we are closed to the possibilities of connecting with others. All of us want to feel connected and this meditation will bring you closer to that goal. Know that you are blessed.

You are not here by accident.

You are here by divine appointment.

Breathe deeply.

Experience completely.

Feel freely.

Now allow my words to become your words.

Moving from resentment to compassion.

When I allow myself to become bitter and resentful,

I keep myself from realizing my oneness and that caught what caused me pain and personal devastation.

Sometimes this pain can be paralyzing.

It keeps me from loving and I can harbor resentment.

When I am deep in that pain,

I know there is something I can do.

I can call on my inner divine and ask to forgive myself.

When I am bitter and resentful,

I know I need forgiveness.

This is one of the most powerful actions I can give myself.

When I forgive,

I realize that I am not separate from spirit.

When I forgive others,

I open myself up to compassion because I am taking care of my thoughts,

My feelings,

And my needs.

When I forgive myself,

I open myself up to self compassion,

Self love because again,

I am taking care of my thoughts and my feelings and my needs.

Let us sit in the stillness of our practice and be open to what we hear about forgiveness,

Knowing that we can move from being resentful to a world full of compassion in the stillness and I will meet you on the other side.

In the stillness of forgiveness,

I know that I am taking care of myself,

My thoughts and my feelings and my needs and this creates great self compassion.

I know that I am walking from bitterness and resentment and into the journey of grace,

Forgiveness and compassion.

And how do you feel?

And may you know that you are loved.

This meditation is now the correct one. From resentment to compassion. May you be blessed.

Great but this is from pessimism to optimism. Wrong title and description.
