Hello,
This is Mary Teresa True and let us celebrate Easter.
Think of everything you've ever experienced that was painful.
That's the meaning of Good Friday.
Think of all the ways that love ultimately healed your heart.
That's the meaning of Easter.
This is a quote from Marianne Williamson.
Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.
That is why the date changes every year.
It can be as early as the second week in March and as late as the third week of April.
The Lenten season brings to mind painful events and the letting go of something that was familiar to us.
On Good Friday,
We were holding the presence of painful memories and circumstances and denying that the condition holds impact over our thoughts.
Tradition holds that there is a physical fast or giving up of earthly needs and desires.
In unity,
We call these denials.
Let us focus our thoughts on fasting from destructive feelings and feasting on encouraging feelings.
You are not here by accident.
You are here by divine appointment.
Breathe deeply,
Experience completely,
And feel freely.
Fasting from destructive feelings and feasting on encouraging feelings.
I'd like to read a short poem.
I'm pressing on the upward way,
New heights I'm gaining every day.
Still praying as I'm onward bound,
Lord,
Plant my feet on higher ground.
My heart has no desire to stay where doubts arise and fears dismay.
Though some may dwell where those abound,
My prayer,
My aim is higher ground.
I rise into greater awareness of divine love and wisdom.
How does that feel for you?
Traditionally,
Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus.
Yet its inner spiritual significance is this experience of new consciousness infused with God's love and wisdom.
Easter happens when we attune to the Christ within.
Easter happens when we give and receive loving kindness.
Easter happens when we release old patterns of belief or practice that no longer serve us,
Opening up to fresh avenues of transformation.
As Charles Fillmore says,
Every time we rise to the realization of eternal indwelling life,
The resurrection of Jesus takes place within us.
The painful crosses of existence are not the end of the story.
For on the other side of crucifixion is always the new life of resurrection.
The Easter Christ within is our hope of glory.
How quiet Easter is!
After the crowds and confusion,
The conflict and drama of the days just past,
After the very public surrender of the cross,
We might expect brass bands and fireworks to celebrate our resurrection into the higher dimension of spiritual expression.
But no,
Resurrection is a quiet thing.
The work is complete.
Though often tedious,
Sometimes painful process of Lent,
We have changed our sense of self.
We are no longer victims of old beliefs and fears.
We now know ourselves as creative spiritual beings of power and love.
The quiet of Easter is not empty.
It is filled with infinite energy and infinite possibility.
We are one with a dimension of spirit that is clearer,
Deeper and more loving because of the Lenten process we have completed.
What's next?
Who knows?
We may move through this creative process many times.
But for now,
It is enough to stand in the silence,
Appreciating the infinite possibilities of Easter.
So in the silence,
Allow yourself to feel the love and the understanding and the peace of Easter in the stillness.
And I will meet you on the other side.
Allow these words to become your affirmations.
I am grateful for the divine love and support through this Lenten process and for the changes in consciousness that are expressing in my life as love,
Health,
Joy and abundance.
As I move into new challenges and new dimensions of spiritual possibility,
I will return to this process when I need to remember and appreciate how far I have come on my journey.
I am grateful for all that has been and all that is expressing in my life at this moment.
I am open and receptive to all that remains to be experienced,
Discovered and shared by me.
Let us know that in this time,
Easter is within us.
And Easter will be with us as far into the day as possible,
As far into the next weeks as possible.
Let us know that you are loved.
