Welcome to the animals message.

I'm Marianne DeClerc and thanks for joining me.

In this practice you'll be relaxing your body and then settling into a guided visualization in which you'll tap into your intuition and receive a message from an animal.

I invite you to welcome any feelings,

Sensations or images with kindness,

Openness and non-judgment.

Before we get started,

Take a moment to find a comfortable position either sitting on a chair or lying down on the floor and know that you can change your position at any time during the relaxation.

Take this time for yourself to connect within.

Ensure you're comfortable and you're feeling no tension and adjust your position if necessary.

Take a moment to observe the space around you and then gently close your eyes.

With your eyes closed,

Begin to listen to your body.

Become aware of your body comfortably sitting or lying down.

Begin to observe your breath.

Feel your body begin to naturally stretch out,

Relaxing more and more with every breath.

Become aware of the sense of calm settling in your body.

Sitting at the top of your head,

Relax your scalp.

Soften your forehead and allow all expression lines to disappear.

Maybe try to increase the space between your eyebrows.

Feel your eyelids smoothing out.

Release all the muscles around your eyes.

Relax your temples,

Your cheekbones,

Your nose.

Notice the cool air around your nostrils on each inhale and the warm air around your nostrils on each exhale.

Relax your cheeks.

Unclench your jaws.

Maybe find some space between your teeth or slightly open your mouth and let your tongue rest naturally in your mouth.

Feel your throat relax and feel free to swallow if you need to.

Become aware that your face is completely relaxed.

Let the feeling of relaxation continue down into the nape of your neck,

Your traps and shoulders.

Feel your shoulders naturally relaxing downwards,

Pulled down by gravity.

Relax your upper arms,

Your elbows,

Your forearms and your hands down to your fingertips.

Become aware that your upper limbs are completely relaxed.

Bring your attention to your back.

Imagine it stretching out more and more with every breath.

Relax all the muscles along your spine from your upper back down to your tailbone.

Become aware that your back is completely relaxed.

Bring your awareness to your chest.

Observe the movements of your ribcage as you breathe.

Notice how your heartbeats are calm and regular.

Feel your belly unwinding,

Relaxing and letting go.

Observe the movements of your belly with your breath.

Notice how these movements are calm and regular.

Now let this feeling of relaxation diffuse down into your pelvis.

Imagine your organs in their place.

Relax your hips,

Your buttocks,

Your perineum.

Become aware that your upper body is completely relaxed.

Allow the feeling of relaxation now to diffuse into your legs.

Relax all the muscles in your thighs,

Your knees,

Your calves,

Your ankles and your feet down to the tips of your toes.

Become aware that your lower limbs are completely relaxed.

Become aware that your whole body is completely relaxed.

Now imagine yourself walking in nature on the edge of a small,

Pleasant forest.

This is a place where you feel calm and relaxed.

The bright sun warms your back and as you walk you see an opening in the trees.

The cool shade is inviting you to enter.

The path is clear and broad.

You feel safe here and so you enter into the forest.

Turn to look around you and observe the colors,

The dappled light.

You see small animals wandering and playing.

As you walk you listen to the sounds of nature in this peaceful place.

You hear the birds singing,

The sound of a slight breeze caressing the tree branches and leaves.

You hear the gentle sound of running water.

You walk in the direction of the sound.

As you walk you feel the leaves and small branches underfoot.

It feels good to have your feet touching the earth.

Just in front of you there's a clearing and you come across a small pool of water fed by a gentle stream trickling down a slight slope.

Observe everything around you.

Imagine the light reflecting off the water.

Contemplate all the colors of the vegetation around you.

Smell the scents of the trees and bushes and all the other vegetation.

The fragrance of the earth.

Listen to the sounds around you.

The birds singing or any other sounds you might hear.

Become aware of all the details.

You find a comfortable dry rock in the sun and you sit down.

Feel the warmth of the sun,

The air on your skin.

And now imagine some animals coming to quench their thirst at this small pool of water.

Simply observe their movements.

Take in the secret spectacle of nature.

You catch the eye of one of the animals.

You stay still so as not to frighten it.

It's completely at ease in your presence and so are you.

It's so calm and assured and you continue to share your gaze.

Imagine this friendly animal slowly coming towards you.

Share its beauty.

Reach out your hand.

Invite it to come towards you.

Feel the warmth of its breath.

Press it gently.

Feel its heartbeat.

Fully savor this meeting.

This animal has brought a message for you.

Somehow you become aware of the message and are ready to receive it.

Listen carefully to its words.

Let its words resonate with you.

Open your heart and receive this message.

Become aware of the sensations it gives you.

Your heart is filled to overflowing with the love you are feeling in its message.

The animal gently closes its eyes,

Gives you one last glance,

And slowly turns around to walk back into the forest.

The message from the animal has been integrated into your being and you'll take this message back into your daily life.

Invite all your feelings and sensations.

And remember that these feelings and sensations are always inside you.

Think about activating them in your everyday life.

And now come back to the points of contact of your body with the support beneath you.

Feel the back of your head,

Your arms,

Your back,

Your buttocks,

Your legs,

And your feet.

Imagine the space that you're in.

Bring your awareness to the sounds outside.

Take a deep breath in through your nose to energize you.

And exhale through your mouth.

Take a normal breath.

Start to slowly move your hands and feet and the rest of your body.

Take a big stretch with your arms out overhead.

Yawn if you need to.

And when you're ready,

You can open your eyes.

Take a moment while you're still in this state of relaxation to think about what feelings,

Sensations or images came up for you.

You may want to write down the message you received.

And remember that you can come back to this recording anytime you want to tap into your intuition and your inner wisdom.
