Welcome to our short body scan.
This body scan will give you a few moments just to pause,
Relax and actually come back into your body and allow whichever area it is for you today just to grab your attention and to unlock the wisdom within.
I prefer to do this seated but you can do this laying down,
Seated or even stood up.
If you are seated then just find a position where your feet are nice firmly on the ground.
If you're lying down just feel that connection through your heels.
Just take a moment just to bring your attention to your breathing.
Just following that circle,
That cycle of breath as you breathe in and you breathe out.
And with every breath just allowing your body to soften.
Soften.
Paying attention to those tension areas of your shoulders,
Your neck,
Your jaw,
Facial muscles.
And just to soften and flow with each and every breath.
Just allowing yourself to settle into that quiet space within.
And then we're going to start our body scan.
So starting from the crown of your head,
Just bring your focus down through your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your face,
Your jaw,
Down through your neck and into your shoulders,
Through your arms and your wrists and your hands.
Following down your torso,
Your chest area,
Your ribs,
Your solar plexus,
Your stomach,
Hips,
Down through your thighs and your knees.
Your calves,
Your ankles,
Your heels,
Your sole of your feet,
The top of your feet and each one of the tops of your toes.
I'm just giving you a few more moments to work your way back up your body.
Noticing any tension points and just breathing into those areas,
Breathing in a softness and a flow.
And then this time on the way down,
Just letting your attention flow with each and every breath.
And then this time on the way down,
Just working down your body but just noticing any area of your body that's calling for your attention.
And that might be a warmth,
A flutter,
A discomfort or just simply a knowing.
And when this calls out to you,
If you can reach it,
Place your hand on top of that area.
And firstly,
Just connecting with that area,
Be it an organ or a joint,
A muscle,
Sinew,
Whatever it is for you.
Just acknowledging that connection,
Acknowledging and thanking that area for placing and bringing your attention and focus to it.
And then asking internally the feedback that it wants to give you.
What is it that this part of your body wants to reveal to you,
Wants you to know today?
And if you don't get any message or a message you don't understand,
That's perfectly okay.
Just acknowledge that it's there and that this part of your body grabbed your attention for whatever reason.
In your mind,
Thank your body for the information or just that moment to connect with it.
Or if you were given a word or a sentence,
Thank them for that.
And leaving your hand on that area of your body,
And leaving your hand on that area of your body,
Just asking what you can now do for that area that will help ease this disease,
Help it feel better.
Or maybe there might be something to ease the wisdom that they've just given you.
You may find that your hand is getting warm on that area,
And just stay there until you either get a pulsing or it starts cooling off.
Or it starts cooling off.
Just in your own time.
Take your hand away when you're ready.
Just bring your attention back to your body,
Scanning all the way back through,
Acknowledging your entire body,
And all the different areas and all the jobs and how hard it works on your behalf.
Just take a deep breath.
Just to conclude this body scan.
