In this guided meditation, you are invited to connect with the earth and experience the gentle strength of butterflies. Beginning with the grounding sensation of standing barefoot on the earth, you are guided to feel safe, supported, and open. Through imagery of butterflies landing and fluttering, you are encouraged to release heaviness and soften into lightness. This practice helps dissolve burdens, ease tension, and awaken a sense of strength and freedom in your body. The butterfly becomes a symbol of resilience and transformation, guiding you into calm presence, balance, and connection with the support of earth and air.

And imagine yourself or bring a body memory of standing in your bare feet on earth.

Bring that to mind as a body memory.

Let yourself feel through your feet.

When your feet are in connection with earth,

We let the earth support our body.

And then imagine as you're standing on the earth,

You're settled and strong.

A butterfly comes into view.

The way butterflies flutter,

They're so light and yet somehow they're so strong.

Might be a monarch butterfly or a beautiful blue butterfly,

Or maybe it's a dragonfly coming in front of you as you're standing there.

And if you hold out your hand,

Maybe it lands on your body somewhere.

Feel the peace and safety of that.

You're safe enough that the butterfly feels safe to land.

And sense into allowing a lightness in your body.

What are you carrying that's holding you back or limiting your flight,

Your freedom,

Your lightness?

Imagine that that is dissolving now.

Your body is becoming strong and light.

Maybe the butterfly is fluttering around,

It's landing and then it's flying a little.

It lands on a flower and then it comes back to your arm or your shoulder.

Let yourself feel the lightness,

The strength of the butterfly.

It can land,

It can fly.

Continue to shed anything that's heavy in your body,

In your energy field.

Let yourself feel the lightness.

Just for this moment,

I could let go of that burden.

Maybe I can pick it up again a different way or maybe I don't have to pick it up at all.

With the old pain and the old things that we carry,

We could let them go.

Notice your breath,

Feel the lightness in your body.

Let yourself rise off the ground.

Let yourself float and flutter and maybe your arms,

Move your body as you're just swimming in the air.

Nourishing yourself with the air.

Dancing with the butterfly.

Experiencing the lightness and the strength.

Let your body soften as you breathe out.

As you gently come back to earth,

Feel the support of the earth.

Maybe your arms are at your side or float like wings or up above your head.

Feel the lightness in your body,

Let your body be grounded and light and strong.

The butterfly,

The dragonfly,

Still in connection.

As you open your eyes and look around,

Let yourself have this visceral energetic memory of light and strong.

Breathe,

Soften,

Let go of the heaviness.

Feel the lightness dancing with the butterfly.

Thank you for this visualization of the butterfly πŸ¦‹. Mine was a dragonfly and I was out in my kayak as it landed on my hand. I felt lighter as my dragonfly took off.
