Expect the unexpected—that’s the lesson Liz is learning on the tenth day of her pilgrimage along the Mary and Michael energy currents across England. She anticipated a profound experience at a key node, where the energy lines intersect, but felt little. Instead, in two unexpected locations, she was deeply moved by a powerful connection to the currents.

Hello and welcome to Five Minutes in Nature with me Liz Scott and today you join me near the end of the tenth day of my pilgrimage as I follow the Michael and Mary energy currents.

I am standing beside a footpath that's going to take me down towards North Hill.

It's about half a mile away and that's where I'll be finishing my walk today.

And today has been a challenging walk.

It's been one of the furthest distances I've walked.

There's been an enormous amount of uphill.

I've been walking right up onto Bodmin Moor itself and there's also been moorland walking and that's quite tricky underfoot.

You've always got to be looking where you're placing your feet because there's granite boulders and rocks and it's just really tough going.

So that was a challenging bit of walking and slow.

But I guess today if I was to sum up what I've really reflected on,

It's this saying,

I don't know if you've heard it before,

It's be prepared to be surprised.

One of the things I do as a coach is I facilitate something that's a form of facilitation where there are different principles and one of the principles of this facilitation is be prepared to be surprised.

So when you bring people into the room you just say to them,

Look don't have expected ideas of how this is going to go.

Allow yourself to be surprised,

Be open to new things.

And that's really been relevant for me today.

I actually went to a node point and a node point is where the Michael and Mary energy currents cross and it's right on Bodmin Moor,

An open expanse of moorland and there are three ancient stone circles side by side and in the middle of the middle stone circle there is a node point.

So this is where the energy currents cross over and I was really looking forward to getting to that point.

Having had that experience at Lost With You Church by the church font and just feeling that sort of buzzing vibrational energy,

I wondered if I was going to feel something similar there.

And I just felt content and peaceful,

I didn't feel anything major and I wasn't disappointed.

This pilgrimage is not about being disappointed about what I should or shouldn't feel but it was just,

I was just curious,

It's like oh okay I thought I was going to feel something and I didn't.

But there were two places where I did feel something quite strongly and they were unexpected.

One was at Trivedi Stone Coit and a coit q-u-o-i-t is a chamber made out of huge granite blocks.

It would originally have probably been a burial chamber and the merry energy current goes through that and I sat in that coit with this massive granite capstone above my head and I just,

I felt really calm and peaceful.

It was a similar feeling than I sometimes get when I go to a church,

That place where there's been a lot of spiritual energy around.

So that was one place,

I wasn't expecting really to feel much but I felt it there.

And then the second place was just beyond the stone hurleys,

There's a granite tour,

It's like a hill with granite rocks on top called the cheese ring,

That's cheese w-r-i-n-g and the Michael energy current goes through it.

And I've got to say I've done a lot of uphill walking today so when I saw it I thought,

Do you know what,

I don't think I'm actually going to go up there to see that,

I just feel a bit tired.

But quite literally my feet just seemed to take me there.

So I walked up this hill to the cheese ring rock which towered up above me and I had this distinct feeling of recognition,

A feeling that,

A knowing,

It was almost like meeting a friend,

An old friend,

There was a kind of a sense of recognition.

That's as good as I can put it and it felt really powerful actually and I felt very touched.

So for me I guess the message today is be prepared to be surprised.

On this pilgrimage and in life I know I often have expectations about how life should go and I get disappointed if it doesn't and I guess one of the teachings I'm learning for myself as I walk today is just be open to what is and you might be surprised with the unexpected.

The Quiot energy sounds interesting Liz. It occurred to me that ‘one size doesn’t fit all’ and everyone’s experience can be different and individual, yet we can still all share the same experience/energy. I do like ‘expect the unexpected’ Thankyou for this lovely reading. 🌿🙏🏼🌷🌿

Wonderfully descriptive. Old stone circles and barrows are fascinating and I find, generally, they provoke some emotions and feelings.

I think you have described life perfectly I find myself doing work I could never have imagined when I was younger, all because of life’s twists and turns. Thank you for theses daily updates 🙏

'Be Preapared to Be Surprised' - a new saying to me for a great concept ✨️
