Welcome to this guided sleep meditation called a magic bed.

Let's begin in your bedroom.

Please squeeze your pillow tight,

Make a dreamy magic pillow.

Jump into bed now,

Get comfortable.

Closing one eye for dreams.

Closing the next eye for a magic bed.

Let the eyes inside go left and right,

Left,

Right.

Let all your toes stretch open wide too.

Relax now for the dream to begin.

This bed,

Your bed,

Is ready to begin a journey with you.

And so the bed grows four strong legs and really big feet that are great at climbing up anything tall.

In the distance,

Yet really far away,

There is a special mountain that is surrounded by a forest of trees.

And the birds sing so loud every new day as the sun rises.

There is a special view from the mountaintop.

So off you go,

Stay tight inside your bed as it begins to walk towards it.

Walking is so relaxing,

But a little fast walking will get you there quicker.

And of course jogging is even quicker as your four bed legs start to speed up into a gliding jog,

Bouncing up and down off the ground.

And with a few deep breaths in,

A quick sprint running towards that special mountain,

Ducking and diving through the forest below.

Then finally,

At the foot of the mountain,

Look over the edge of the bed as the climbing begins with four sturdy legs and feet,

Up and up.

And this means the air will start to get colder,

But fresh mountain air.

Keep snug in that bed,

For there is quite a lot of mountain climbing to do.

A huge bird begins to circle above,

Looking at what you are both doing,

And continues to follow you to the top of this mountain.

Now once you are at the top,

Give your bed a good pat,

Well done.

The large bird is an eagle,

And likes the bed very much and perches upon it.

It's time to enjoy the view from up here.

Wow,

Now you can see everything below you,

And so tiny everything looks.

Place your hands when you lift them up,

Touch the very clouds above.

Brilliant white,

Bright clouds,

So light.

Wrap a good blanket around you and step off that bed,

And stroll and walk about,

Feeling on top of the world.

The sun is getting hotter up here,

But the air is magnificent,

So cool and fresh.

The eagle watches you and seems to smile with his eyes,

And begins to tell you he too can see the world through his magnificent eyes.

He has a 340 degree visual field,

Compared to our 180.

Eagles are capable of using binocular and molecular vision.

Their heads can turn 180 degrees both ways.

A mighty 360 degree view.

Therefore,

This eagle can look into great distances,

When flying and hunting for his food.

Suddenly,

There's a great urge to fly yourself.

I wish I could fly as brilliant as you.

You start to spin around and around,

Smiling and laughing,

Wishing to fly,

Like your new eagle friend.

And so,

For a little while,

This dream comes true.

But you must go back to your bed after,

Scratching your feet on the floor of the mountain,

That seem like eagle claws.

Your arms feel longer,

And feathers proudly appear,

Golden and shining in the sun.

A few flaps,

And you start to hover in the air.

A few more flaps,

Of the magical feathery arms,

Your wings,

And you manage to fly in a perfect circle.

Then,

Deep breath in,

And flap you do a full upside down circle in the air,

Above the mountain.

The eagle looks you in the eye,

And tells you to follow.

Let's go for a fun flight,

All around the mountaintop.

The bed keeps his feet firmly to the floor,

And watches with amazement,

As you do fly so fast.

Now up,

And dancing in the air,

Time for a dive flight.

Facing and looking down this mountain,

Off you fly side by side,

At an exciting speed.

The little birds below,

Cannot reach this height.

You are the heroes in the sky,

The mountain sky.

The more you fly,

The more at ease it becomes.

Now the day has been long,

And stars already are popping out early.

And so with a yawn,

You sweep right back to that magical bed,

And land with a great stretch,

As your arms open up,

And yawn again.

Into the bed,

For the eagle will perch again on the bed,

To rest.

It's time to watch a deep blue star night,

With thousands of sparkling stars.

Look deep into their shining light.

And then,

I wish you both good night.
