A short meditation becoming aware of the energy of the body So starting with a few deeper breaths On the out breath,
Having a sense of letting go letting go of the weight of the body through the points of contact into the ground letting go of holding on in the body any areas of tension and tightness and with the in breath a sense of energy coming into the body vitality,
Brightness and seeing if you can have an overall sense of the space the body occupies perhaps a space just a little bit larger than the body and rather than imagining the body to be a solid mass see if you can imagine it to be like a cloud of energy a cloud of sensations vibrating,
Pulsating sensations so tuning in to this cloud this energy cloud tuning into the texture of it the feeling of it and noticing all the myriad pulsating,
Vibrating,
Tingling sensations in that cloud cloud of energy and this cloud extends a little bit beyond the physical physical body as you breathe in notice how it affects the energy of the whole cloud throughout the body not just the upper part of the body but the whole of the body is energized by the breath you can play with this energy using your imagination so if you want to you could imagine the breath coming in through the belly rather than through the nose or mouth imagining it coming in from the lower part of your body filling the body with energy with lightness and seeing if you can enjoy the energy looking for any pleasurable sensations of tingling of vitality of warmth seeing if you can enjoy them wherever they are in the body in the cloud you could even imagine now the breath coming in through the crown of the head as if we're breathing from the crown and notice what that does to the energy and if you do notice anything pleasant or pleasurable in the energy of the body you can allow your attention to rest on it allow it to grow if you allow it to grow it can take you deeper into absorption it can even spread through the whole of the body so just sitting in awareness of this cloud of sensations this cloud of energy without trying to do anything in particular and coming out of the practice when you're ready
