So before we start this poetic meditation,
Just take a moment to get comfortable,
Finding your seated or lying down meditation posture,
Finding your breath,
Finding your centre,
And if there's anything that you've brought with you today that you don't need for these few minutes,
Just invite it to leave.
Coming back in to yourself,
Noticing your body,
Noticing your breathing,
Finding your centre.
And now just allow the words to wash over you.
And just notice what comes to you as you do.
The large I or I gazes at me,
Welcomes me,
Remembers me and assures me I have found my tribe,
It lives in my heart always.
I am a seed,
A galactic pinecone,
Floating around the universe,
Containing all potential,
Stardust,
Seed of life.
Seagull flies toward the storm,
Yet keeps me safe from harm.
Hang on,
You're in for a ride.
Beneath the waves,
Luminous turtle swims towards the light,
Carrying the seeds of tomorrow safe in her shell.
The star seed cosmic cat watches from within her consciousness and purrs.
The star,
Our true north,
Our cosmic guide is available everywhere once we learn how to see beyond illusion.
Hermit,
Armadillo,
Snug in her skin,
An egg among the grasses and stars,
Self-contained,
Alone yet not.
Quiet,
Drifting,
Yet stable,
Solid,
Tucked in for the night,
Ready to dream,
Safe in her fortress,
Eyes open,
Watches all.
I am her and she is me,
A cousin of dragon,
A cosmic child of the one she holds the light within.
Always aglow,
One with all,
Nothing needed,
All as it should be,
One more miracle among us,
She,
I,
Know the truth.
The hermit lights his way,
Mapping with and among stars.
The empress brings it down to earth,
Grounds the light in ancient DNA,
Carrying the future in her womb,
She glows.
The magician calls the powers to him,
Ready to conjure all that is needed.
Sun cups in octopus arms,
Tangled in the fog of illusion,
Tempting me off my path.
Am I chasing daydreams or is this a new beginning?
A time to count my blessings,
Be steady in strength and know that nature loves her own.
Let the wheel spin and carry me into the cloudy skies of tomorrow's visions and dreams.
At home,
Comfortable,
Third eye opens.
I am howling,
Longing for my tribe,
So much love for my children,
Their children.
I play with my friends,
Not often enough,
But still transforms me to hunt for meaning in ritual and starlight.
I caught my prey,
Yet now it's dead.
I must keep looking to the higher ground within.
Much gratitude to Raven for sharing her poetry with us for this practice.
Thank you.
As the words fade,
Allow yourself to come back to centre,
Noticing your body,
Your breathing,
All the little sounds around you.
And when you're ready,
Come out of your practice.
