Hello and welcome to this meditation with the element of fire.
Make yourself comfortable wherever you are.
Allowing your body to be in a relaxed and alert position.
Allowing your breathing to be regular.
Knowing any sounds around you.
Knowing that they may be present as we meditate but that you can bring your focus inwards.
Noticing any thoughts,
Sensations or emotions that you've brought with you.
And again knowing that they may be present and you can just let them exist without having to focus on them.
It's time to invite in the energy of fire.
Fire is something which makes us human.
We couldn't have evolved to where we are today without fire.
I'm so appreciating fire as the flame of the hearth.
As the heat which keeps our homes warm.
As our ally in preparing food.
As the keeper of the hearth,
The sacred flame.
And the centre of our social gatherings.
Fire is something ancient and magical linked to our humanity.
And fire is best known to us in the place of the hearth.
So coming back into your centre now,
Sensing into yourself.
Knowing that you're full of energy.
And imagining that you are a flame.
Feeling the shape of that flame.
There might be a kindling at your base.
And fire energy might rise and flicker around your energy fields.
You might even visualise a flame.
Hear it's crackling.
And feel it's warm.
Feeling yourself as a steady flame,
Fed by the oxygen of your breath.
Feeling that you're bringing warmth and light to all that is around you.
Breathing in,
Feeding the flame.
Breathing out.
Casting warmth and light to your surroundings.
And then giving thanks to the energy of fire for being with you.
And letting go of that element,
Knowing that you can always connect back in whenever you want to.
Coming back to your awareness of your body,
Your surroundings,
Your breathing.
Ready to go about the rest of your day.
Thank you for sharing this practice with me today.
