Divine Timing Tarot Reading For Creativity
This reading is intended to reach you at the right time. Keziah takes you through a Tarot reading for creativity, helping you to identify resources, inspiration, practicalities, and perhaps most importantly, how you show up to your creative practice. You might want to choose a specific creative objective coming into the reading. Please note that this was recorded during a live session and the audio is not studio quality; however, the wisdom remains valuable. If you would like Keziah to draw a card for you personally, come into any of her course classrooms here on Insight Timer and leave a comment with your request.

Okay,
So we'll get started with our reading for creativity.
So I'm going to invite you here,
This spread can be found of course in my Creative Tarot course as well if you're interested in looking it up.
And there is an option to have a consciously chosen objective,
So I'm not going to choose one here for us.
But what I am going to invite you to do is to think about what is your objective for creativity.
And that might be,
You might have a specific goal,
Something you want to create,
It might just be exploring your creativity or getting inspiration,
Whatever that is,
Discovering yourself as a creative being.
So have some consideration of what your objective is.
And I'll talk you through the spread.
So we've got five positions,
Centrally we have the querent,
So that will be you.
How do you show up to your creativity?
You are of course the secret ingredient or the magic ingredient in whatever you are creating,
So that is that central,
That position.
And then we've got resources,
So we've got internal resources,
This is things like knowledge,
Wisdom you have,
Resilience,
Creativity itself,
All of those internal resources that we have.
And then external resources,
This is resources external to us,
So it might be materials,
It might be community groups,
Places like this where you can learn and practice,
Anything like that.
Underneath we have practicalities,
So that is the practicalities of your creative objective.
So you know,
What practicalities do you need to arrange?
What practicalities will you,
Do you need to consider when you're committing to your objective?
And of course objectives happen when we commit to them and not before.
And then finally at the top we have new information and new or inspiration,
So anything that you maybe haven't had consciously in your awareness before and and that the cards would like to make you aware of.
So those are the five positions.
I'm going to invite you to take a deep breath,
Just go inside and ask to receive what you need.
And I'm reading today with the Lightseer's Tarot,
It's by Chrisanne,
It's very very popular,
It's a lovely deck to read with,
And I know it's very popular here in these readings as well.
So our first card then,
The Queren,
So this is you,
How are you showing up to your creative objective?
Oh look at this,
The Magician,
This is a favourite card of mine.
I have a series of,
A workshop series called The Magician,
Which is the Tarot,
Becoming the Tarot for Life audio courses.
And the Magician's a major arcana card and it tells you that you have all the resources you need and that you can direct your energy into whatever you want.
So we see here this person,
This Magician,
Sitting in front of a pool of energy and they're putting energy in and they're taking it out.
So this is an act of intense concentration but at the same time they look almost relaxed,
So it's that dynamic of directing your will,
Directing your intention,
This is what the Magician is all about.
And also kind of relaxing into the process,
You are part of the energy stream,
You're not outside of it and that's what allows you to direct it,
To play with it.
I think there's playfulness in this card as well,
You know,
What happens if I put a bit of energy in there,
Take a bit of energy out here,
You can play with that and that playfulness may be an important part of your creativity,
Trying what happens.
So it's a lovely card to come up in the centre for the Querant and to come up in this position for you,
How do you show up to your creativity,
To your creative objectives.
As a Magician you can make magic happen,
You can make whatever you want to happen,
Happen.
So again it's a reminder that having that specific objective can be useful just in terms of,
Then you know what to make happen.
But also try things out,
You can try things out,
Enjoy being part of the energy.
Okay,
Our next card then,
Internal Resources.
What internal resources are available to us for you at the moment?
And this is the Six of Wands.
So the Six of Wands,
Wands is the suit of creativity,
Which I love it showing up for us,
It's a suit of the element of fire.
And you see here that this person has a victory wreath with their wand,
Their burning flame there and they're standing on a stage in the spotlight and they have their arms up in this gesture of accepting that being in the spotlight,
Of enjoying the some sort of hands in the background as if raised in adulation,
Enjoying that.
And this is a card traditionally of victory or achievement,
Sometimes about leadership.
So I think there's something in here about you have,
You've made something happen creatively before.
And so you know how it is to have done that.
And you know how it can feel to be recognized for your achievements.
There's a real recognition of achievements here.
And if you haven't yet been recognized for your creative work,
And that recognition,
It doesn't have to be this standing on a stage in the spotlight,
This is a metaphor.
There may be some other form of recognition,
It may be very,
It may not be public.
With the Six of Wands,
It usually is in some way,
But it doesn't have to be,
You know,
We don't all have to be celebrities and influencers.
There may be other forms of recognition that are more meaningful for you.
So as well sort of being aware of what that recognition is that you really want to have.
And if you haven't yet achieved that recognition,
For whatever reason,
That's fine.
It's not the end of the journey yet,
Just means you've got,
You've got that experience to enjoy still for the first time,
Or to enjoy again,
Of course,
If you have.
But in terms of how you can direct energy towards your creative goals,
Is that you can visualize,
And I'm using the term visualize,
If you don't visualize by seeing,
You might be able to imagine and experience through the sounds,
The sensations,
The scents that might be associated with it.
So you can imagine what it will be like to get that recognition and try to imagine it from inside yourself.
So associate it from inside your body,
Even allow your body to take on the shape,
The facial expressions,
The breathing of you receiving that recognition.
And this is a nice practice that you can use as directing your energy towards being recognized for your creativity.
Our next position then is the external resources.
So what's available around and about you to help you to achieve your creative objective.
And this is interesting.
This is the Nine of Swords.
So the Nine of Swords is traditionally a card of grief,
Upset,
Fears.
You can see this person sitting there with their head in their hands.
So I don't read it as a negative card.
I don't read any cards as a negative card.
However,
It reminds us that externally,
Perhaps socially or societally,
That there is a lot of worrying narratives going on or perhaps worrying thoughts and realities as well.
But you'll see here,
As the swords,
You've got these birds,
These black sort of crow-like birds,
But one of them is being hit by the light.
And we can see by that,
That it's actually transparent.
It's not whole and complete.
With the Nine of Swords and with the swords in general,
The messages about narratives,
About beliefs,
What beliefs are around,
What narratives are around,
And a reminder that we create the world with our narratives,
With our beliefs.
So it may actually be that there are people around you that are working with these narratives,
With these beliefs,
And those are your external resources.
There may also be people,
Groups,
Books,
Sources of wisdom,
Sources of knowledge about working through narratives,
Working through beliefs.
The eco-linguistics course comes to mind,
Just off the top of my head.
But there are lots,
And especially how our thoughts shape the world.
And it may be that there is a space,
If you are experiencing grief or fear or anxiety,
For whatever reason,
Then there may already be spaces which are held,
Which allow you to experience these things,
Because they're valid things to experience.
We don't have to pretend they don't exist.
Which allow you to experience these things and transform them from the experience of sitting in this line of swords to an expression which can contribute towards your creative objective.
Underneath we've got practicality,
So this might be resources,
This might be things you need to take into mind as you work with your creativity.
And we have here the Seven of Pentacles.
So this is a card of both patience and cultivation.
It tells you that you need to show up consistently.
With the Seven of Pentacles,
We see that actually a lot is already in place,
But some things need a little more time.
So you'll see here,
And interestingly in this deck,
What I really like in this deck is that this person cannot see the pentacles under the soil.
They just have to trust that they're there.
But nevertheless,
They are putting their energy,
They're putting their love into the tree,
And they can see that it is growing something,
Somewhat,
In some way.
And so with your creative endeavours,
Sometimes that's the case.
You put your energy into it,
But you don't actually know what it's becoming.
And then there comes a moment further down the line where you discover that,
You know,
There were pentacles growing there all along,
Or whatever it is.
So in practical terms,
And the pentacles is the suit of practicality,
It's the suit of the material.
The physical can be about wealth,
Can be about health,
Can be about connection with place.
So with the pentacles,
With the Seven of Pentacles in this position of practicalities,
I think this is about using the practicalities that you've already got in place.
So whether that is about materials that you already have,
Ideas that you're already working on and working with,
Networks that you're working with,
In whatever way.
This Seven of Pentacles is an invitation to use that,
Use what's already there,
And then grow it.
Grow it into something else,
Put energy in and allow those resources that you've already got,
Allow them to grow.
And then finally at the top,
New information or inspiration.
So what do you not yet know that the cards would like to make you aware of?
Oh and look at this,
It's the Chariot.
So the Chariot is another major arcana,
It's going to be right there above the Magician.
And it's all about movement,
You can see that movement going on.
So firstly it's a very,
You know,
If the cards have given you a message with this,
A very simple one,
It's like go for it,
Get out there,
Ride that Chariot and go out into the world with your creativity.
It is a card of calibration,
So checking in with yourself.
Are you going in the right direction?
Are you driving in the way that you want to be driving?
Are you in balance?
We've got these horses,
We've got balance,
And actually this person balanced on the top of the Chariot.
So that person needs to be balanced,
They need to be in tune with both horses,
Both horses need to be in tune with each other,
And they all need to know how the Chariot works.
And that's before they've even chosen a direction.
Then they choose a direction.
Again with the Magician,
You know,
It's an invitation to have a conscious intention about what you want from your creativity.
And again,
It doesn't have to be like,
I am going to,
I don't know,
Write a book or paint a picture,
Whatever it is.
It can be,
I want my creative endeavours to allow me to express what I'm feeling,
Or I want my creative endeavours to allow me to find meaning in the world.
It doesn't have to be all about producing something.
So yeah,
We don't have to produce when we're being creative.
We can,
But we don't have to.
And so the Chariot,
Yeah,
Is very much inviting you to go for it.
And in terms of inspiration,
It could be what moves you,
What moves you figuratively or physically,
What moves you,
What's the road that you're on,
What's taking you from A to B.
So if you want to go and sit with that card for more inspiration,
You can meditate with it.
Either just sit with it,
Gaze at it,
Allow yourself to be immersed with the energy of it.
I do of course have a meditation on the Chariot in the daily tarot meditation ritual if you want to sit with that as well.
But just spend some time with it and with that movement,
With what it is that moves you.
So I'm going to place that at the top there and I'll summarise before we close.
So our first position was the querent,
How do you show up to your creative endeavours?
The magician,
You can do anything,
Can make anything happen,
And you have all the resources you need.
Internal resources are six of one,
So you already know or you can already imagine what it is to be recognised for your creative talents,
And you do have them.
And if you're not yet,
If you don't yet know that,
If you can't yet imagine it,
Then that's something to cultivate because it is something that's already inside you.
External resources,
Nine of sorts.
So any space which is held for you to process difficult emotions,
Anyone or anything which is working with or can teach you to work with changing narratives,
Changing beliefs,
These are the kinds of external resources which will help you to express,
Which is an important part of creating.
Underneath practicality is seven of pentacles,
Most of them are already there.
Use existing structure or infrastructure,
Build on it if you need to,
And trust,
Be patient and trust that all will come to fruition in its time.
And new information or inspiration,
The chariot,
Go for it,
Go with what moves you.
Stay in balance,
Stay in awareness of how you're moving and where you're going.
So that's our tarot reading for creativity.

Dear Keziah - it was lovely listening to this reading and taking in the messages of the cards. I am working on my understanding of and relationship with creativity and the cards today were so reassuring. I think The Chariot asks now for that forward momentum. Thank you for this reading 🙏🏻
