And so when you're ready,
Take a moment just to set your intention for this meditation.
What is it that you would like to wash away or begin your day with?
Set your intention and then turn on your shower.
Take a moment just to listen to the water running.
Maybe notice the steam beginning to build in your bathroom.
Maybe take a moment of gratitude for the warm running water that you have access to.
And when you're ready,
You can hop in the shower.
Taking a moment to feel the warmth of the water against your skin.
Maybe allowing that water to wash away any fatigue or lingering sleepiness or mental fog still lingering from your sleep.
Letting that all wash away,
Removing that fatigue,
That sleepiness,
And instead letting the warmth begin to wake you up and bring you this calm energy.
Just standing firmly,
Feet planted in the shower,
Just close your eyes and take a few big deep breaths,
Letting your lungs fill up fully and completely and exhaling out of your mouth,
Releasing any of that mental clutter or residual from the night before.
Noticing how the warm water moves over your body.
Just bringing awareness to your different parts,
Maybe feeling the water on your back and letting it melt away any tension you have here.
Noticing the water pour down over your arms,
Your torso,
Down your legs towards your feet.
Letting this comforting warm water of the shower release all tension,
Morning aches and pains,
Any of that just being washed away.
Taking a few more deep breaths and telling yourself three times,
I am awake,
I am energized,
I am ready for the day.
I am awake,
I am energized,
I am ready for the day.
Taking a few final moments just to enjoy the sensation of this shower in this moment,
Opening up all of your senses,
Feeling the water,
Taking deep breaths,
Hearing the sound of the shower,
Maybe looking around at the morning sunlight in your bathroom,
Whatever it is.
Just take in this moment,
Allowing yourself to be filled up with the sensation of gratitude for the gift of another day.
Taking one more big deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth,
Telling yourself I am awake,
I am energized,
I am ready for the day.
And this is where I will leave you with my guidance and I hope you have the best day ahead.
Thanks for joining me.
