A five minute morning meditation.

So we're just going to clear our minds,

Wake up our consciousness and just prep us for a wonderful day.

So go ahead and begin your meditation just by closing the eyes,

Doing any little bit of intuitive movement that feels good to you.

Maybe you do some side stretches or anything that feels good.

And we're going to begin with an energizing breath to really clear our minds and wake up the body.

So to do this,

We're going to inhale in three equal parts and then take one long exhale out.

So it'll be like this.

You'll inhale,

Filling up a third,

Inhale,

Filling up two thirds,

And then another inhale,

Filling up all the way and then exhale.

You can sigh out the breath.

So we'll do that again.

Inhale a third,

A third,

A third,

Exhale,

Sigh it out.

Just continue to do a few more rounds of this breath,

Inhaling in three equal parts,

And then taking that long exhale out.

And as you're doing this breath,

Really let the inhales energize your body and the exhales clear your mind and open you up for the day.

And we'll do two more rounds of this breath and then eventually settling into your natural breath pattern.

So now as you're settled into that smooth,

Easy,

Effortless breath,

Just welcome in the day.

Welcome the day in with open arms and with gratitude.

Welcome in the abundance of new and wonderful opportunities that lie ahead of you today.

And now take a moment to set a positive intention for your day,

Anything that you want to honor or focus on or dedicate your day to.

You can repeat this intention to yourself three times out loud or just in your mind.

And then know deep down in your heart that today is going to be a wonderful day.

Just give yourself the gift of a quiet minute just to breathe and be and bear witness to the day and the morning all around you.

So and then taking a big deep breath in through the nose and exhale,

Sigh it out through the mouth.

Thank you so much for joining me for this meditation practice and I hope you have the best day ahead of you.
