Thank you for joining me.

Allow a moment for your body,

For your mind and your spirit to all come back into one space.

Your day may have been busy or just starting.

The fact you've given yourself a moment to come back,

Pause,

To reconnect,

Ground and be present again.

Invite you to place your hand on your heart and take some deep breaths.

In through the nose,

Down through the throat and expand your chest.

Allow it all to come out.

Each breath in,

The hand can feel the chest expand.

Push the breath a little further down into your stomach before releasing it.

Have a few more conscious breaths that really drive the breath into your heart,

Expanding your hand out and filling your stomach before releasing it all.

Perhaps a big sigh out,

Maybe it's a whistle out,

Expelling of air,

Emptying out.

Back to your hand on your heart.

Take a moment to feel the beats of your heart,

That gentle life rhythm,

The pumping,

The strength that is under the surface,

That has always been under the surface.

The word courage comes from the Latin word core,

Meaning heart.

Without realizing it,

We carry such an unconscious,

Simple courage in every day.

When it feels too much,

Perhaps life feels heavy.

I invite you to come back to your heart,

The simple action of placing your hand on your chest,

Reconnecting and feeling that rhythm again.

Feel the heartbeat,

Your heartbeat.

Upon placing your hand on your heart,

I hope it reminds you of the courage that you have deep within you,

Available to you at every moment.

It's so deep,

We sometimes forget or perhaps believe it's buried.

But know that treasure is always available to you,

It is innately within you.

Such a simple exercise that can be accessed at any point in your day,

Offers strength,

Grounding and reminds you of the courageous spirit that you are.

So take a few more moments with your hand on your heart,

Deeply breathing into it,

Rekindling,

Reminding yourself of that courage,

That unconscious rhythm and strength that is within you,

That is available and is to you.

When you feel ready,

I encourage you to lightly drum your fingers on your chest,

Just a few gentle taps to wake your fingers up.

Maybe that rhythm moves up your hands,

There's movement available there.

Stretching of the fingers and the arms outwardly,

Opening the shoulders,

Expanding the chest and heart,

Dropping your jaw,

Pointing your toes,

Other gentle movements that come into the body.

When you feel ready,

I invite you to gently flutter your eyes open and carry the courage that you are remembering into your day.
