I invite you to get comfortable,
To leave the heaviness of the day behind.
Take some breaths through the nose,
Down through the throat,
Expand the chest,
Ribs and stomach.
And breathe it all out,
Emptying,
Letting go.
We continue breathing in a deeper way,
Without realising many days are made up of short,
Shallow breaths that do not reach the depth that we need,
That do not expand us or energise us.
Shallow breaths into the chest can often make us realise how small we have been playing in life,
When we have the whole lungs and belly that we could breathe into,
Like life.
We could expand into more than what we have.
Perhaps this shows up with the work you do.
Work is a loaded word for many.
We are often taught our identity is intertwined with the work we do,
Our value,
Our sense of self.
So lean into that for a moment.
What is your relationship with the work you do,
Or the role you play?
Perhaps your role as a parent,
A carer,
A provider,
A sibling.
We all play roles.
What if you were more than any of this?
Work or a role is something you do,
It's not who you are.
Work or a role is not who you are,
But it's something you do.
Allow it all to ripple through you.
And take the points of tension or restriction in that shallow breathing,
In that wrapping of titles,
Roles and work.
Allow that to just fall away.
Allow it to fall away.
Come back to the breath.
Breathe in deeply into your belly,
Expand your lungs and continue to just breathe out,
Emptying out,
Letting go.
Breathe in all that you are,
All that you could be,
All that you want to be.
And breathe out,
Fully emptying that constriction,
Titles,
Judgement.
Let it all go now.
Continue to breathe your own way.
Creating space,
Letting go and allowing.
Trust that the answers you seek to continue to expand and come back to you will be revealed.
Keep breathing,
Letting go,
Coming back to you.
And take the time to sit in this space or if you feel ready,
Gently make some movements,
Yawn that body awake and come back,
Gentle,
Flattering eyes into the room,
Into your body,
Into your world.
