Where do you feel stress in your body? How do you support yourself in times of stress? This practice offers a chance to hear the stresses of your body and release these. You will be guided into coming back to your body, compassionately holding tend parts of your body, and nourishing yourself. Give yourself permission to unravel, to let go of the day and stresses to transition into a deep, restful sleep.

I invite you to take a few deep breaths,

In all the way to the belly,

Big sighs out the mouth,

Take several more breaths,

As you come from the day,

Come back to the body,

I invite you to call in a problem that has been consuming,

Feel your experience with the problem,

Perhaps it's frustration,

Tiredness,

Anger,

Resentment,

Sadness,

Whatever it is,

Is true to you,

Where do you feel this in your body,

Is your jaw tight,

Are your shoulders up near your ears,

Is your muscles gripping,

This is an opportunity to simply observe the sensations in your body,

To honour your body,

It has been carrying all the stress and tension deeply from this experience,

This challenge,

And acknowledging where you feel this all in your body,

I invite you to place your hand where it feels tense in your body,

The simple act of placing your hand directs some care and much needed compassion,

It also willingly acknowledges the stress and breathe into those spaces,

Perhaps another place of your body is calling you,

So listen and be guided as you move your hands to other places that require some nurturing and nourishment,

Take some breaths and sense some intentional air to circulate around those points in your body,

Allow them to feel less tight,

Breathe into those spaces,

Give them permission to move,

You may choose to hold your hand there and affirm,

I am safe,

I am held,

I am heard,

I am seen,

This allows the body to release the contraction as it drops into a safer relaxed state,

You have affirmed you are supporting and holding your body in a way that hears stress and values it,

Accepts it and loves it regardless,

You are moving away from shaming or judging your body for reacting,

For being tired,

Achy or internalising the outward stresses,

This is a powerful reconnection to yourself,

To your body,

Be proud of yourself and honour,

Honour the experience,

With a few more breaths you may wish to stay or come back.
