Hi,
Friend.
Let's begin this meditation with three clearing breaths,
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling out of the mouth,
Filling up and letting go,
Taking up and release.
And now I'd like you to take a moment to look around and find three solid things that you just notice in your space.
So maybe it's your Bible,
Maybe it's the wooden floor,
Maybe it's a wall,
And something with solid support,
Structure.
Just allow yourself to rest one hand on it and then bring the other hand to your heart.
And if it feels okay,
Close your eyes here or just take a soft gaze on a fixed object in front of you.
Take a moment to just notice,
Allowing yourself to arrive in this space without judgment,
Holding yourself and just noticing what you experience here in this moment.
What do you feel?
As you take a moment to notice your heartbeat,
To notice the breath moving in and out of your body,
To notice the rise and fall of your chest,
Just hold yourself with acceptance,
With gentleness,
And with grace.
Friend,
I want you to know that in this moment you are not alone.
With my voice guiding you and with God with you,
You will make it through this moment.
How can you soften in this moment?
Maybe it's simply relaxing your brow,
Softening your jaw,
Releasing the tongue from the roof of the mouth,
Softening the shoulders just a little bit away from the ears.
Softening your belly so that the breath is able to move freely.
Now allow your hands to fall wherever feels nice today,
Whatever place serves you.
Maybe bringing the palms face down on the knees or letting them rest on the belly,
Just acknowledging or setting yourself up in a place for grounding.
And I just want to share a Bible verse from Psalms today.
Psalms 94 verses 18 and 19 say,
When I said,
My foot is slipping,
Your unfailing love,
Lord,
Supported me.
When anxiety was great within me,
Your consolation brought me joy.
The simple verse lets us know that God will support and console us.
He holds us in any moment where we need the most.
When life seems uneasy,
When we experience turmoil or stress and anxiety,
God is always with us,
Always holding us,
Always supporting us,
And always consoling us.
As you continue to breathe in this moment,
Perhaps begin to connect your breath with a simple mantra or phrase,
Breathing in,
I am,
Breathing out,
Okay.
Breathing in,
I am,
Breathing out,
Okay.
One more time,
Breathing in,
I am,
Breathing out,
Okay.
And as we just spend a few more moments together,
I just want to say a prayer.
Dear God,
We come to you today just as we are.
You know the struggles of your people.
You know the feelings of anxiety and stress that so many endure.
God,
I ask that you place on my heart and just allow me to pray for those who cannot find the words today.
God,
I pray that those out there who are suffering,
Who are feeling bombarded or overwhelmed,
That you give them peace,
That you allow calm and peace to move like a wave,
Washing over those who are struggling in this moment,
That even now they are finding just a little bit more relief,
A little bit more ease.
God,
I pray for those who are struggling with even pushing forward,
Those who are questioning their lives.
God,
I pray that you give them the strength to continue forward,
To know that they are put on this earth for a purpose and that purpose is not rooted in exactly what they do or their job or any of these situations that can seem so overpowering or so controlling,
That their purpose is rooted in love,
Rooted in being,
Rooted in ease.
God,
I pray for those who are needing healing today,
That those bodies that are experiencing pain or dis-ease that you come in,
You have the power to turn things around,
That if the doctor said one thing that you can come back and heal and change every situation,
God.
I pray for those who feel so overwhelmed and so stressed,
That you allow them to find peace and taking things one breath at a time,
That you allow them to take the pressure off of themselves and leave it to you,
God,
Because you are doing so much work behind the scenes.
God,
Can you give them peace?
Can you give them clarity?
Can you give them ease in this moment?
God,
I pray that you give those who are struggling to find energy,
Give them a boost to be able to change these anxious thoughts or anxious feelings towards excitement to you,
God,
That they may pour into your word,
That they may draw near to you in this moment.
God,
I pray that they feel your presence,
That they feel you surrounding them in this moment.
God,
I pray for softness in the body.
I pray for ease in the breath.
I pray for the strength to just move forward,
That they will know that this moment is only temporary and it will pass,
That I pray for their courage today,
That they will keep pushing and know that you are more than able to move,
God.
In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen.
And friend,
I hope that this meditation helped you to find some calm.
Whatever you're going through,
Whatever you're experiencing,
Your feelings are valid,
Know that I will continue to pray for you and I will continue to pray that you find ease and that you find calm.
But just keep pushing.
Do not give up.
Never give up.
