Welcome to this letting go meditation.
Maybe you want to let go of something specific,
Or maybe you just want to generally let go in life.
So start by filling your lungs deeply with a breath through the nose.
So the in breath through the nose fill your lungs deeply,
And out through the nose,
Deeply,
Slowly.
And do that again.
Now start to bring awareness to your body as it's sitting here,
Lying here,
Or however you choose to listen to this meditation today.
With a sense of awareness,
Start to scan your body to see if you can pick up any tensions.
Any tensions resulting from holding on and not letting go.
Scan your jaw.
Scan your chest.
Scan your belly.
Scan your eyes.
Scanning your body.
Seeing what you pick up and not judging anything.
When you find tensions,
Slowly breathe into them.
Breathe in deeply into this tension,
And when you breathe out say,
It's okay.
Breathe in,
It's okay.
Breathe in,
It's okay.
Letting go should never be forceful.
It has to be light.
Only light can drive out darkness.
Surrender is gentle.
It's not a force for pushing away.
Surrender is strength and not weakness.
Holding on and not letting go,
Even if we feel strong when doing that,
It's not strength.
It's fear.
But that's okay.
We're not judging,
We all do it.
We're here to release today.
So breathe deeply into the lungs,
And as you exhale,
Let out a light sigh.
Bring to mind what you are resisting and what you want to let go of today.
Or if you just generally want to let go in life,
Bring awareness to this feeling of holding on.
Of tension.
Of forcefully resisting.
And realize that resistance won't solve the situation or problem.
It will only make you tense,
Heavy,
And feel worn out.
Imagine how beautiful it would be if you could let go of this and surrender to the natural flow and rhythm of life.
Just as the birds do.
Just as the flowers do.
Just as the sea does.
Now imagine a scale from 1 to 5,
With 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest.
We will first let go of the situation or the feeling of holding on.
So imagine you've got a grip on the situation and the feeling.
And imagine with 1,
The grip just starts to relax just a little bit.
Gently breathe and send out a gentle sigh on the exhale.
Now imagine number 2,
We're letting go in terms of level 2.
And with this we see the grip relaxing even further and we can sense a gentle surrender coming over us.
We feel it in our head.
We feel it really lightly washing down our entire body through the arms,
Through the chest,
Through the belly,
Through the legs,
All the way to the feet.
Take a deep breath into the lungs and release with a sigh.
Now level 3,
The grip is more than halfway relaxed.
And that is already a massive achievement.
You're starting to sense that this is so freeing.
And you're starting to tune in to the natural sense of surrender,
To the natural flow and rhythm of life.
As we move on to level 4,
Take another deep breath into the lungs and release with a sigh.
In this sigh you are letting go of a lot of tension.
And as we move on to level 4 and the grip opens up even more,
You feel a sense of surrender strongly washing over your body.
Just as before but this time 10 times stronger.
Starting at the head,
Washing over your face,
Your neck,
Your chest,
Your back,
Your belly,
Your pelvic floor,
Your thighs,
Your legs,
And your feet.
And just holding that there,
The sense of surrender.
See how much lighter you're feeling already.
And also notice any attempt by your mind to resist this.
Because your mind might be telling you,
Surrender is weakness,
I can't let go,
Or I'll be taken advantage of,
Or I will lose.
Surrender is not weakness.
Surrender is wisdom.
Surrender is strength.
Surrender is self-love.
And deep down you know that.
Because your higher self is the wisdom deep within.
And it is one that surrenders to life.
It knows that everything is going to be okay.
And everything is working for you,
Not against you.
So breathe in deeply,
Fill up the lungs,
And release with a sigh.
As we get ready for level 5,
Where we will open up our grip completely,
Just take a moment to gently thank yourself for how strong you've been,
And that you've tried your best navigating this life and this situation.
But also tell yourself that it's finally time to let go.
So take a deep breath,
And imagine the grip opening in your own time.
No more holding on.
The grip opens and frees you,
And you are rewarded with a sense of surrender like you've never felt before.
It washes all over your body,
And surrounds you like a glow.
Tuning in to the rhythm of life,
And having this sense of surrender will keep you safe.
It will guide you.
It will reconnect you with self-love.
And new doors will open up for you that you never thought were possible.
Imagine a deep breath once more,
Filling up the lungs,
The biggest breath so far,
And release with a sigh.
Bring awareness back to the normal rhythm of your breath.
Come back to this room,
And open your eyes when you are ready.
Have a beautiful day.
Much love.
