Welcome to this meditation for anyone experiencing IBS or stomach pain or anyone who generally wants to bring healing to their body and especially the area of their stomach and digestive system.
Take in a deep breath through the nose to get comfortable.
You could either be sitting upright or lying down with your spine straight.
This is entirely up to you and what feels right for you in this moment.
So just taking a moment to get comfortable.
Making sure you breathe consciously in through your nose and out through your nose.
So start by bringing awareness to your body resting here in this moment.
Any contact with surfaces.
How heavy or how light you may be feeling.
Scanning your body for any sensations that are here right now.
Without any resistance.
Just observe what is here right now.
With equality that I like to call non-judgmental awareness.
Exploring with a sense of curiosity.
What is here in this body of mine?
Just being aware,
Being accepting,
Not judging and being curious,
Curious as you were when you were a child,
Exploring.
Now focusing down on your stomach and your digestive system.
What sensations are here?
Remember to breathe slowly and mindfully.
As you're being the observer right now.
Healing with every breath of your non-judgmental awareness.
As you start to notice how simply being aware starts to shed some heaviness.
Awareness that has resulted from your desire to control everything.
How you feel.
Resistance to how you shouldn't be feeling or at least so you think.
See how this acceptance that you bring,
Which is enriched with pure awareness,
Is a much healthier perspective to take.
But of course,
We are all human so there's no point to be hard on ourselves if we haven't come from this perspective initially.
We have the chance to re-center and walk towards a healthier and brighter future.
Where our body is healing itself more and more and getting closer and closer to the balance that it strives for.
Breathing deeply and slowly,
Observing what is here.
Even if it's painful,
Just accept it.
Be curious.
Notice how that voice in your head that wants to control everything starts to fade away more and more and is replaced with a pure presence,
With awareness,
Acceptance and love.
Let's strengthen this love by consciously breathing into our heart.
Put your right hand on your heart and breathe into your heart.
Feeling love on the in-breath and feeling that love strengthen on the out-breath.
Feeling love and feeling it strengthen.
Feeling love and feeling it spread to your body,
To other parts of your body.
Feel how all of your body receives some of this love that gets stronger and stronger the more you breathe in mindfully and consciously.
Now imagine that only your stomach and digestive system,
Your intestines and everything involved in the process,
Only they are getting this love right now.
So there's a direct channel between your heart and your digestive system.
So you breathe in love into your heart and as you breathe out the love floods into your digestive system and feel that love what that feels like.
As it floods your intestines,
As it warms you,
As it takes care of your stomach,
As it expands into your pelvic area.
Breathing the whole area of your digestive system and stomach in pure love.
Simply imagine this as a white light that comes from your heart and fills this area.
Soothing all that is to be soothed.
And giving love where it is most needed.
It is normal that a problem can show up in a specific area of our body that can make us feel very unbalanced and make us struggle.
We can then give extra care and attention and love to this area to bring the whole body system back into balance.
So we can serve the world in the way that we'd like to.
Spreading our love in our interactions and in whatever way we'd like.
In order to do that we need to first self love and self heal and make sure we take the time to do so because that is one of the best things we can do for the world.
To be in a state where we can be the love that we are.
That is one of the greatest acts of service to the world that we can be doing.
Now bringing this love back to your entire body,
Back to your mind,
Back to all of you resting here.
Breathing in love and letting go of anything that is not serving you on the out breath.
Breathing in and letting go of anything that is not serving you.
You know exactly what to let go of.
Trust yourself.
Find confidence and comfort in the fact that you are moving closer and closer back to balance.
Your meditations like these have greatly helped me when I've experienced IBS and pain in the stomach.
Bringing acceptance,
Love and non judgement to our body that is so dearly needs.
As you go through the rest of your day,
Be mindful of your body making sure to take conscious deep breaths.
Resting when you need to.
Making the right choices for your body when it comes to nutrition and hydration.
Really thinking about fasting to help your digestive system and stomach heal some more.
Looking into the powerful benefits of things like peppermint and chamomile tea.
Whatever resonates with you,
These are just a few things that have helped me recently.
Taking another deep breath and letting go.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
Have a beautiful day my friend.
Much love.
