Good morning to this beautiful day.
Let's start by bringing gratitude for this new day,
The fact that we get another chance to experience life.
And regardless of the challenges that might come our way today or things that we feel we have to deal with,
This is another chance to experience life,
Another gift.
But let's leave everything that we don't need right now away from this practice by taking in a deep breath,
Breathing in rejuvenation and fresh energy and letting go on the out-breath of anything that's not serving us right now.
It's to welcome the day with a fresh breath and to let go of anything we don't need right now with the out-breath.
Do this in your own time a couple of times here.
What a true gift it is to be allowed to experience life today.
Bring to mind five things that you're grateful for this morning.
Thank you.
Give thanks to your body for carrying you through the day.
It doesn't need to be in perfect health for you to be thankful and grateful for everything that it does.
Taking another deep breath through the nose.
Hold for three seconds and let go.
And again,
Truly welcoming this day in.
Hold and let go.
Set your intention for today.
How is it you want to approach today?
Is it with a calm mind where you let thoughts pass instead of getting caught up in them?
Or is it with an open heart where everyone that you meet and everything that you do gets to experience the depth of your love?
Or maybe just simple kindness and compassion.
Whatever it is,
Set that intention for today now.
Taking a deep breath and release this intention into the day.
Now briefly checking in with your body,
Giving your body a quick scan from your head down over your shoulders,
Lower back,
Belly,
Legs.
And just bringing awareness to your whole body being here and seeing if there are any areas of tension.
If there are,
Just breathe into these slowly.
Feeling them release and lessen.
And as you go through your day,
Maybe you want to give some extra care to those areas of your body that you have identified,
If there are any.
This could be doing some extra stretches or just being careful as you go through your day,
What your posture is like and anything like that.
