As we are about to contemplate the deep feeling architects.
Let's prepare this contemplation by considering the water element.
Which from a traditional Chinese five element perspective is connected to the time of winter.
It is said to store our deepest reserves of energy.
Its emotion is fear,
Its virtue is wisdom,
And its quality is the ability to flow,
To go deep,
And to rest.
When Rote is balanced,
We feel resourced,
Adaptable,
And quietly confident.
Whereas when it's depleted,
We can feel anxious,
Exhausted,
Or stuck.
Water expresses itself through many archetypes.
We are looking at five primary ones here and as I describe each one,
Bring in these qualities already mentioned and notice which of these five or perhaps a combination of them feel most alive for you right now.
The first is the artist.
This is the part of you that lets what lies beneath the surface Take shape in the world.
Drawing from the deep well of imagination and giving it form.
It reminds us that creativity rises from rest and stillness more than from effort.
Question to ask yourself is What is waiting to be expressed through me?
The second is the poet.
Poet listens for the meaning beneath ordinary moments.
And finds language for feelings that have no easy name.
It softens the heart and teaches us that fear and tenderness often live very close together.
Ask yourself.
What am I feeling that has not yet found its words?
Let's move now to the deep anchor.
Part of you that wants to understand the why behind things.
That sits with the question rather than rushing to answers,
And that trusts wisdom to arrive at the right time in the right way.
So what question are you ready to sit with now?
The fourth water archetype is the wanderer.
Who flows and follows the current,
Trusts the unknown,
And moves through uncertain places with a quiet courage.
Because it knows the river always finds its way to the sea.
Where are you being invited to let go of the shore?
And the fifth water archetype is the mystic.
The mystic senses what cannot be seen,
Trusts intuition over evidence,
And feels a connection to something much larger than the soul.
Which is very much the nature of the deep ocean.
What do you sense that you cannot yet explain?
Take a breath in and then let it flow as it needs to go.
And carry whichever question stayed with you.
Throughout the rest of your day.
Be blessed dear friends and thank you for journeying into the depths of these waters together.
