Welcome to this short morning yoga nidra meditation practice to bring you into a state of relaxation.
During these next 10 minutes,
You are invited to begin your day with a relaxed mind and body,
So you can go forward feeling centred and balanced.
I invite you to lie down wherever is most suitable for you,
Perhaps on a yoga mat or on your bed,
And lay your arms by your sides with your palms facing upwards,
And gently close your eyes,
And just lie here for a moment,
Setting the intention,
Either out loud or in your mind,
To enter into a state of deep relaxation this morning.
And now bringing your awareness to the natural rhythm of the breath,
Noticing it and feeling yourself relax a bit deeper with every exhale,
Feeling your body surrender into the floor or bed beneath you,
Feeling all the muscles in your body relax and soften now,
Allowing any tension or construction to melt away,
Noticing the sensations that are arising in or on your body,
And being present with any emotions that are here,
Allowing everything to just be,
Giving yourself full permission to relax even deeper through your awareness of any thought,
Emotion,
Or sensation,
Simply relaxing into it,
Welcoming it,
Embracing it,
Opening and softening into all that is here,
Feeling your heart space open further now,
Feeling its gentle,
Compassionate,
And nurturing essence,
And letting this energy spread to all parts of your body and mind now,
Feeling fully relaxed on all levels of your being.
And now,
When you are ready,
Begin to slowly wiggle your fingers and toes,
Your arms and legs,
Becoming present with your physicality,
Feeling totally relaxed but also very much alive,
And softly blink open your eyes,
And just observe your surroundings for a moment,
And give thanks to yourself for creating the time and space to begin your morning in this relaxed state.
And when you feel ready,
You are welcome to sit up and go forward in your day,
Bringing this relaxed presence and state of consciousness with you.
