A very warm welcome to this guided visualization.
First let's get settled in nicely.
So just check into your body and feel what feels pleasant at the moment.
Meaning don't go kind of as a default in your standard meditation position but already in landing here and setting yourself up just feel into your body and See if you can get that sweet spot between total relaxation and awakeness in your posture,
In your attitude.
Specifically,
Can you sit right up if you're sitting?
And at the same time be very relaxed.
Your face,
Your shoulders.
Your torso,
Your arms.
And for a moment just feel how pleasant it feels to kind of let go of that subtle tension that is sometimes there And with that kind of heaviness,
There comes a kind of lightness.
Letting the body become heavy,
Our awareness becomes light and clear.
And if you'd like to.
You can take a few long,
Deep,
Full inhalations and exhalations too.
Energize the body and the mind.
As well as letting it go.
And as you're settling in nicely.
I want to take you on a little guided tour of imagination.
Picture yourself meditating.
On a very quiet,
Peaceful spot.
On a forest floor.
There is a liveness around you.
Some sounds of animals and maybe of some breeze through the leaves But it's a.
.
.
Gentle,
Reassuring kind of.
Soundscape.
And let the listening to those nature sounds be part of your meditation.
In a way listening is the essence of meditation,
So allow yourself to.
.
.
Connect with your body,
So stay in connection with your breath,
With the feeling of your body and at the same time.
Listen to the sounds of the nature.
And let that listening become your peace and your focus right now.
So in a way we're not dreaming away,
We're dreaming present.
We're dreaming into presence.
Perhaps you see a squirrel or a bird or a bug.
And maybe there's that beautiful way the sunlight can play through the leaves,
Creating that beautiful kind of glistening effect.
That reminds us what an enormous gift it is.
Beauty and miracle it is to be alive on this planet.
What unbelievable grace we are blessed with.
And what a specific blessing forests are.
And if it's alive for you,
If it's authentic to you,
I'd even invite you to.
.
.
Say a word of gratitude.
Towards the forest and the forests of the world and the forests in your life Take a moment to do that.
Now,
Imagine.
That you see something that you hadn't noticed before.
Right in front of you something is glistening in the sun,
Sparkling almost.
And upon closer inspection it turns out to be a golden object.
Of some sort.
Perhaps struck by its beauty,
You simply pick it up.
And you notice that there are two buttons on it.
It somehow really reminds you of a remote control.
Some kind of golden,
Beautiful,
Slightly heavy remote control.
And you see two buttons.
And you clearly recognize them as the button with the symbol for fast forward.
And another button with a symbol for rewind.
And perhaps you're curious and you press the button.
Fast forward.
This changes the scene immediately.
You have fast forwarded to the last day of your life on this planet.
And it's not a dark day,
It's not even a sad day.
It's actually quite a beautiful day because all your loved ones are right there with you.
And without making it macabre or anything In a moment,
After a short explanation,
I want to invite you to actually picture that day.
And the invitation I want to give you while doing that is make it as real as you like.
You know,
Imagining that last day.
It could,
Of course,
Stir up some emotions,
Maybe some fear,
Maybe some sadness.
The idea of this exercise is not necessarily to be sad or depressed or scared.
And at the same time,
It's also,
I want it to be welcome.
If there is a bit of fear,
If there is a bit of sadness,
That's very,
Very welcome.
And that's also a natural reaction,
Perhaps,
To such an imagination.
If it becomes too strong for you,
If you are noticing,
Hey I don't want to go there today,
That's totally fine too.
In that case you can just either stop the meditation or stop the visualization and simply meditate until the end.
And so forth to the degree that is comfortable for you.
Now take maybe a minute or two to clearly visualize.
You on your last day on this planet.
In a loving way,
With all your loved ones there,
I'll give you some silence to create that picture.
And now we're going to slowly.
.
.
Find an end to the visualization by remembering on that last day of your life that you were actually meditating in a forest.
And you remember the remote control.
And when you look down,
It's actually still in your hands.
Still beautiful,
Golden,
Still with those two buttons.
And so,
Now you press the rewind button.
And just as suddenly as you were shifted to the future,
You're now back into the present,
Back meditating in the forest.
The remote control is not there anymore and it's not quite clear if this was real or a dream.
And in a way it doesn't matter because the experience you had was real enough.
To give you a sense of.
The unbelievable opportunity that lies before you today.
Because today is not the last day of your life.
Of course,
We never fully know this,
But.
.
.
Let's trust it,
That today is probably not the last day of your life.
And what I'd like you to do is just take a moment and from the perspective of that last day.
.
.
Can you feel into that?
Opportunity that today is that lies ahead of you and perhaps of course also any gratitude that you may have.
And my invitation here is not to make plans or start thinking a lot,
But simply to feel the sense of opportunity,
The sense of aliveness that underlies that opportunity and perhaps some gratitude.
One way to do this is,
Perhaps,
Without answering the question necessarily,
But rather simply stay with the question.
What will I do with my life today?
And just sit with that now for a few more minutes.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you for watching.
This is a test.
Bye!
Thanks for watching!
