When I returned from Europe, I found myself in a funky funk. It wasn't one thing in particular: it was more of a Baptismal Re-entry by fire. Recognizing I was in a funky funk was the first step. Make eye contact with a baby and then make it your mission to have them smile back at you.
Offer a stranger your grocery cart.
Compliment their shoes.
Compliment their hat.
Compliment their smile.
Tell someone that you love them.
Pets count.
Walk your dog.
Walk someone else's dog.
If you don't have a dog,
Google dogs to adopt near me right now.
Look up at the sky.
Wow.
Offer thanks.
Touch the earth with your bare feet.
Offer more thanks.
Join trusted house sitters so that you can travel the world while staying in someone else's home for free.
Breathe one breath.
Follow one breath.
Breathe one breath from inhale to exhale.
Purchase a new floral dress and wear it everywhere for no reason.
Realize you're a miracle.
Realize everyone and everything around you is a miracle.
Offer some more thanks just because.
