This practice will help you cultivate true happiness. But what is true happiness? True happiness is peace, it is when there is nothing wrong with the present moment. It is when there is nothing to change here and now. It is not something to find on a different time, in a different place. It has to be here and now. Total acceptance. Let's see if it's possible to find this contentment here and now. Let's see if this moment is already perfect as it is.

Find a comfortable sitting position and take some deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

And come back to breathing normally through the nose and make sure that your spine is straight but without tension.

Relax your face,

The jaw,

Shoulders,

The neck,

Arms,

Belly,

Legs.

Let go of any tension.

And today's practice will help you cultivate true happiness.

But what is true happiness?

True happiness is peace.

It is when there is nothing wrong with the present moment.

When there is nothing to change here and now.

And it is not something you can find on a different time,

In a different place.

It has to be here and now.

Total acceptance of the moment.

Let's see if it's possible to find this contentment here and now.

Let's see if this moment is already perfect as it is.

Notice the sounds around you.

There are sounds close to you.

Sounds further away.

Do they have to do anything to receive these sounds?

Or do they simply come and go all by themselves?

Isn't it a miracle how sounds come and go all on their own?

Isn't it amazing that you have to do nothing to receive them?

What a gift!

Now,

Notice the sensations in your body.

Do you have to do anything to receive them?

Contact,

Temperature,

Movement.

The heart pumping.

Don't all these sensations simply come and go all by themselves?

Isn't it a miracle how sensations come and go all on their own?

Isn't it amazing that you have to do nothing at all to receive them?

Again,

Another gift.

Now,

Notice your thoughts.

They appear in your field of view as mental pictures or as phrases you can hear in your head.

Do not try to push them away.

Let them be.

Let them come and go.

Do you have to do anything to see these mental pictures or to listen to these inner phrases?

Or do they simply come and go all by themselves?

Isn't it a miracle how thoughts come and go on their own?

Isn't it amazing that you have to do nothing to receive them?

Another gift.

Now,

Simply let everything come and go freely.

Sounds,

Sensations in the body,

Pictures in the field of view and phrases in the head.

Do you have to do anything to receive them?

Or do they simply come and go all by themselves?

Isn't it amazing that you have to do nothing to receive them?

It is all coming out of nothing and appearing here just for you.

What a gift!

All these things are gifts.

Gifts that you are receiving for free.

This is a free performance of colors and shapes and sensations and sounds.

And you don't have to pay any ticket for it.

And take a deep breath.

Have a gentle stretch.

And open the eyes.

As you can see,

You do not have to go far away to find happiness.

It is here,

In the miracle of everyday life,

In each sound,

Sensation,

Thought.

There is the miracle and mystery of life.

Just remember that the source of happiness is your attention to the present moment.
