Welcome to this morning breath connection practice to awaken your energy,
To help you open up for the day,
Open up for life and just be present,
Awake and aware.
So,
For this practice I invite you to sit down to make sure spine is vertical and your shoulders relax,
Just take a moment to really settle in,
Into this seated position either with your legs crossed or just extended in front of you and maybe adding a few gentle stretches before you fully settle in,
Maybe stretching your arms over your head or stretching your neck a little bit side to side,
Starting to say hello to your body,
To welcome your body and welcome this day with an open heart and then when you feel a little bit more settled just start by taking a full one deep breath,
Just feeling this life within you,
Feeling that prana,
That life force that is always flowing through you,
Take a little look around you,
What colours can you see,
What shapes that are pleasant to you,
What around you can you already appreciate,
Then feel the textures around you,
Maybe it's your bed or your mat,
Just feeling that support,
Maybe it's soft or hot,
Warm or cold,
Just orienting yourself through those sensations around here,
Knowing that you are in a safe space and then just again exhale for longer and inhale for deeper,
We're just going to go through two rounds of a little bit stronger breaths,
So starting with the inhale through the nose and then out through your mouth,
Nice and steady,
Nice and deep but without forcing,
Without pushing,
Just following this natural flow of your breath with a little bit more activation,
In deeply through the nose and out fully through the mouth,
Letting this breath spread through you,
Letting it spread through your belly,
Through your ribs,
Through your chest,
Through your shoulders,
Through your arms and even all the way down through your legs,
So you are filling all the parts and the cells of your body with that prana force,
With that life vital energy,
Keep going just about 30 more seconds like that,
Just grounding into your inner strength,
Lovely and then for the last 30 seconds we're just going to breathe in and out only through the mouth,
So start going in out through the mouth,
Again not too much forcing,
Just a short breath in and a bit stronger breath out,
Keep following the simple flow,
Staying focused here and just the last five seconds,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
This time take a full exhale and inhale longer,
Holding that breath in and then exhale totally letting go and this time we start sustaining the breath,
So without taking another breath in just stay here on the exhale,
The body is relaxed,
Your heart is still beating,
You are still aware,
Just letting yourself rest a little bit from that breath now,
Noticing any effects on your body,
Just staying here for 10 more seconds,
You are held and supported here and then in three,
Two,
One,
Taking full inhale and just holding last 10 seconds,
Feeling that light,
Feeling that power,
Feeling that space and then just totally let go all the way down,
Totally release,
Take three natural breaths in between,
Noticing how it feels,
Remember at any point you can slow down,
You can adjust and let's go to our second round,
Opening to that strength and peace for today,
Exhale fully and then inhale coming back to that flow,
Simple breaths in and out,
In through the nose and out through the mouth,
Letting yourself just be supported here,
Letting this breath support you as well,
Nothing to change,
Nothing to force,
You are alive,
Feel that aliveness within you,
Ah beautiful and now the last 45 seconds of in and out through the mouth,
So again that simple breath in,
Maybe as if you are scared and then exhale longer,
Adding that breath in and out only through the mouth,
Stay present and stay strong here,
Remember you don't have to push it too hard,
Adjust it to your body but stay with it,
Can you sustain the strong breath here and then last five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Take a longer breath in and exhale fully,
This time again sustaining the breath for about a minute or so,
You've been breathing really strong and fast but now you can rest,
Maybe noticing any sensations that are present in your body now,
You are still alive,
Your heart is still beating,
Your brain is still functioning,
Just the last 15 seconds here,
Can you stay soft and relaxed and then five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Take a full deep inhale and hold,
Last 15 seconds of holding and then all the way down,
Slowly release and just let go,
Beautiful,
Slowly coming back to your natural breath,
Noticing how it feels,
Nothing to change,
Just accepting,
Observing,
Can you feel now any shift in your energy,
In your body,
In your mind,
Remembering that your body is so much more powerful than you think,
It holds so much wisdom so it's really really important to listen to it,
Not only in the morning but also throughout your day,
As you slowly calming your breath,
Maybe place both hands on your heart,
Setting the intention for the day,
I am open to love,
I am open to life,
I am open to love and I am open to life,
Starting to awaken your body a little bit,
Maybe moving your legs,
Moving your feet,
Maybe stretching the arms over your head or any movements that feel supportive right now,
Maybe shaking it all off,
Adding a little shake and letting this energy of peace,
Of love,
Of awareness to guide you through this day,
