Welcome to this meditation for giving up a bad habit.
Please allow your eyes to close and imagine what your bad habit is.
Now I want you to imagine some substitutes that you can replace for this habit.
If you have a bad habit for negative thinking,
Perhaps you can replace it with creative action.
What can you substitute your bad habit with?
Breathe in deeply now and think about cutting out all the things that trigger this habit.
If you have a bad habit of stopping by the donut shop on your way to work,
Perhaps you can find a different route to drive.
What are some ways you can keep yourself from getting triggered to have this bad habit?
What are things we can remove to remove the behavior?
Breathe in deeply now and hold on with another way to break the bad habit is to surround yourself with people.
Surround yourself with people who live the way you desire to live.
Breathe in deeply now and imagine the people that help you break this habit.
When you exhale,
Exhale the energy that they push onto you.
Exhale the triggers that keep reoccurring and cycling in the energy that happens when you are with them.
Bad habits are often caused by stress and boredom.
A lot of the time bad habits are simply a way of dealing with stress and boredom.
And it doesn't have to be this way because you can teach yourself new and healthy ways to deal with stress and boredom.
Remember you don't have to eliminate a bad habit,
You can simply replace it with a good one.
Breathe deeply and imagine the good habits that you're going to replace with the bad ones.
Breathe in and out and visualize yourself succeeding.
See yourself successfully quitting your bad habits.
How do you feel?
Who are you with and what are you doing?
See yourself waking up early,
Connecting yourself with self-care,
Going to the gym.
Whatever bad habit you are wanting to break,
Visualize yourself crushing it.
See yourself smiling and enjoying your success.
How does it feel to be over your bad habit?
You have brought awareness to your bad habit and that is a lot of the journey.
You are able to give it up successfully because you are the master of your own mind and energy.
And remember,
If you make a mistake that it is okay,
We are all human and we embrace each step of ourselves along the way.
So take a deep breath in now,
Open your eyes,
And understand that you just have to take a step in the direction of happiness.
And that step is your responsibility.
