Hello,

Welcome to this relaxing healing body scan meditation.

Today we will start off by taking several purifying breaths.

Let's honor our breath now.

Breathing is the most natural thing in the world.

Yet we tend to forget about it and its connection through the chaos of our days.

Let's honor our breath and how it brings us into the present moment so that we can relax and connect.

So take five significant and purposeful breaths.

One,

Fully inhale,

Expanding your belly and chest as much as you can,

Holding it for just a moment and exhale,

Feeling a wave of relaxation sweep over you.

Two,

Inhale,

Feeling your entire breath full of fresh oxygen,

Hold it and exhale,

The wave of relaxation gently sweeping over you.

Three,

Inhale,

So that you are brimming and beaming with air,

Holding it,

Soaking in the oxygen and exhale.

Your body relaxes in different areas with each breath without any effort.

Four,

Fully inhale,

Feeling these breaths purify your body,

Exhaling,

Just notice how you are feeling.

And five,

A beautiful breath coming in,

Hold it,

Feeling invigorated from its oxygen and exhale,

Allowing oxygen to sweep over you.

Now take note of how you feel in this very moment.

You now have an abundance of oxygen and this is how you are created to feel.

Breathing deeply and fully is an expression of self-compassion.

Let your breath be natural and notice how abundance feels.

Now,

Just find a spot in front of you to focus on and don't look away.

Begin to slowly blink your eyes and if comfortable for you to do so,

Allow your eyes to gently close.

And when you do this,

You feel a wave of relaxation sweep over you.

Now I'd like you to focus on the sensations at the top of your head.

Just notice how the very top of your head feels.

Let your focus move down to your eyes,

Noticing how your eyes feel,

Asking them to relax.

Any small movements you notice allow for you to feel calm.

Notice how the back of your neck feels against the surface that it's touching.

How heavy does your head feel right now?

Let your focus move down to your nose,

Feeling a slight sensation of air moving in and out with your breath.

And when you breathe in,

Imagine that you are being filled with natural medical phenomenon.

This beautiful thing is filling you with confidence and power and energy.

When you breathe out,

Imagine that your body feels light and deeply relaxed.

Good.

Now notice your ears,

Notice how they feel and what they hear around you.

Try to hear every single noise.

When sounds come into your ears,

They act like little waves of relaxation,

Taking you even deeper.

Notice the sound of my voice and how soothing it is.

From here forward,

You can only hear my voice guiding you.

Other sounds passing through only take you deeper into a state of healing.

Now focus on your mouth.

How does it feel?

What do you notice?

Perhaps you can imagine biting into the flesh piece of a piece of fruit.

And now you notice your mouth waters.

Good.

You move your focus down now to your neck and shoulders.

And if there is any tension along the way,

We ask our body to release it.

Move your attention slowly going down each arm,

Down all the way to each of your fingertips.

What are your fingertips touching right now?

Feel the sensations on your fingertips.

Allow your focus to move to your chest now.

Relaxing this area as well as the upper back.

And if you notice any tension,

Just ask it nicely to release with each breath.

Now imagining,

Direct your attention to focusing on your heart.

Can you feel it beating softly,

Supporting you?

Relax your heart and notice how good it feels to do so.

And now focus on your lungs.

Feel them gently expanding and contracting with your breath,

Delivering oxygen to your body.

And just gently allow your focus to move through your vital organs and digestive system.

Notice how your belly feels.

Observe it digesting effortlessly for you.

Maybe you have some discomfort.

Now notice your lower back and how it presses against the surface that you're on.

And if you notice any pain or feel tension,

Please ask and say,

Please relax.

I release this tension.

Focus on your pelvis and hips and notice any sensations you're having here.

This takes you deeper into a state of relaxation,

Which heals you.

Release anything you're holding onto here.

And allowing your focus to move down each leg now,

Slowly relaxing those more on the way.

Your legs have been taking you so many places everywhere over the years,

And they deserve to fully relax.

This wonderful wave of relaxation moves over your knees,

Down your lower legs,

All the way to your feet,

Into the very tip of each toe.

Good.

You're doing so well.

Now that we're going to take our focus back up the same way we came.

But this time,

Imagine you are slowly pulling in your favorite color.

This color is a deeply healing substance.

So imagine your favorite color is coming in through your nose and into your feet.

It goes up your legs,

Passing over your knees,

Up into your pelvis and hips.

This beautiful color is filling your digestive system and belly.

It fills your vital organs and continues into your lungs.

This beneficial color is profoundly healing you.

It glows as it fills your whole heart.

And notice how happy you become while doing so.

This beautiful magical hue travels across your shoulders and down each arm,

All the way to your fingertips,

Beaming.

This invigorating color moves quickly and graciously up your neck,

Mending you of any tension.

It blankets your mouth,

Ears,

Your nose and eyes,

And it instantly fills every space of your brain,

Encompassing your mind,

Healing it.

It moves all the way to the very top of your head where we began.

Good.

Notice how completely relaxed your entire body feels right now.

Good.

You become aware of every part of your body,

Putting you completely into the present moment.

Being present with yourself allows you to be present in your life.

And whenever you are ready,

Return your awareness to the present moment.

Take a full breath and open your eyes.

Good.

Good.

Good.
