Take a moment to sit with yourself in a moment you may be struggling in your darkness. STOP and step back. Observe your thoughts and emotions to help catch and clear negative ones that may lead to depression. Affirm your healing journey and create a safe space to feel and process.

Transcript

Begin by taking in a deep breath and hold it for five seconds.

Exhale and relax.

Take another deep breath in as deep as you can and hold it.

Count for five seconds and as you exhale just imagine blowing out all of the stress.

Take a third deep breath in and hold it.

As you exhale you blow out the stress that you've been holding on to saying to yourself I release and I relax.

This is your new solution to stress.

Whenever you become stressed,

Getting caught up in the future,

Reliving the past,

You simply take three fully deep breaths,

Holding it at the top for just five seconds,

Empowering and revitalizing your energy.

And when you exhale,

Blow out and release yourself from the stress that you are feeling.

And on your third and final breath,

As you exhale you simply say to yourself and affirm I release and I relax.

From now on you choose to be relaxed.

You choose to be calm and you choose to be in control of all that you do because your health is a priority to you.

Remember that it is so natural for you to be happy and healthy and it is unnatural for you to have sicknesses,

Misery.

Your wants,

Your needs and your desires matter.

I want you to say these with me now.

Each day in every way I get better and better.

In order to make change,

I challenge myself.

Change is not comfortable.

In fact,

It is very inconvenient.

So if I feel comfortable with the change that I am making,

I am probably not extending myself enough.

When I have a negative thought,

I acknowledge that I feel this way and then I release it.

When another negative thought arises,

I catch it quickly and I say with confidence.

I acknowledge that part of me feels this way but this thought does not help me right now.

Each day in every way I get better and better.

Whenever I am presented with the feelings of stress,

I know my breath is there to soothe me and guide me into relaxation.

Every single day I become more aware of all the good things going on in my community and the world around me.

When I feel that darkness is surrounding me,

I know that the way to see light is to take three deep breaths,

Relaxing my mind and connecting my body.

Each day in every way I get better and better.

In order to make great change,

I challenge my thoughts.

From now on,

I challenge every negative and unproductive thought that arises.

From this point forward,

Whenever you find yourself having a negative,

Unproductive thought,

Feeling sensation or experience,

You will immediately say to yourself,

Let me repeat that to you so if that is perfectly clear.

Whenever you find yourself having a negative,

Unproductive thought,

You will immediately stop yourself and say stop.

As soon as the word stop is spoken from your mouth,

You will find those negative thoughts that you are having will disappear.

This gives you the opportunity to start a new positive thought process and something that I need you to remember is as negative thoughts and feelings arise within you,

They are valid.

You are not your thoughts and you are not your feelings,

But your feelings are here to help you navigate your current experience.

They are communicating with you.

Do not shame the feelings you have.

Do not invalidate your own thoughts that come up.

But understand that sometimes they are not productive and they don't contribute to our growth.

What's coming is going and if you don't allow the negativity to just come and flow,

It cannot go.

You are doing very powerful work by practicing meditation,

Self-awareness and reconnection.

The more you meditate,

The more you connect and the more you are present,

The more powerful your energy becomes.

This is the way you change your life for the better.

Connecting with your breath to connect with your body and be connected with the present moment.

So again,

From now on,

When your negative,

Unproductive thoughts and feelings arise,

Put a halt and allow yourself to either process and let go or come back to it.

But please remember,

My love,

To come back if you choose to do so.

Because your thoughts and feelings matter.

Your wishes,

Your goals and your desires matter and they are calling and coming to you.

You just have to let go.

When you are ready,

Bring your awareness back to your breath now and repeat.

Each day,

In every way,

I get better and better.

I lost my dog and I’m so sad I feel it’s bringing on depression. Perhaps Im in the depression stage of grief. This was wonderful and very helpful. I will listen to it over and over again. Thank you. 🙏🏼

The portion towards the end discussing the validity of feelings, but not identifying them was incredibly emotionally releasing for me. I’ve never cried during a meditation, but I burst into tears. Then, while I was trying to pull myself together, the reminder that we are meant to feel, and that’s how we process was stated. This was uplifting, powerful and healing time, thank you.
