Perhaps one of the best places for meditation is in nature,
Where everything is just the way it needs to be.
The environment has transformative power,
It provides serenity,
Helping us find ourselves once more.
Try sitting down in a forest,
On a beach,
Or in a garden,
And take in the surroundings.
Or if you want to move,
You can take a walk.
Some prefer meditation while walking,
Rather than sitting.
The stillness and beauty of natural surroundings is a perfect way for finding balance and harmony.
In this meditation,
We will allow our being to be one with our environment,
Inviting external sounds to move through the body without judgment or interpretation.
This meditation can be used to embrace any environment of your choice.
Let's start by getting comfortable in our position.
Head,
Neck,
And shoulders in one straight line.
Hands on your knees or palms facing up if you wish to lay down for this practice.
Gently close your eyes and mouth,
And let's start by taking in some long,
Deep breaths.
Breathing in through the nose,
And gently releasing out through the nose.
Allow your attention to your sense of hearing,
What sounds can you hear right now?
Allow your sense of hearing to operate like a laser beam,
Searching out distant sounds.
Allow your attention to move from sound to sound without identification or interpretation.
If it helps,
You can label each sound as it appears in your field of awareness by mentally noting to yourself,
Sound,
And then keep going.
Open up your senses and allow all sounds to move through you.
Intensify your sense of hearing.
Listen.
Observe.
Witness.
Your body and awareness can be like an empty vessel,
Open and spacious.
Feel this experience move through your body.
Surrender to the sounds of your environment.

Allow each sound to appear by pulling.
