Self-reflective practices such as meditation enable you to see not only how you are responsible for your own feelings,
But also how whatever you may be experiencing is a choice that you are making in that moment.
There is always a choice,
And if we lack the awareness,
Then we can unconsciously pay attention to feelings that may be overwhelming,
Charging them up with more frequency through a negative thought process,
Disturbing the body's inner peace.
When you take a step back from the thinking mind and start to observe your thoughts and feelings,
You shift your state of experience.
Too often we are consumed by vicious cycles of thinking and feeling that cause our body's stress and anxiety.
The ego does not want to let go,
Yet what a relief when it does and you can return to a place of balance.
Letting go of emotional baggage and toxic energy is essential for health and well-being.
We do not want to downgrade our quality of life because things didn't live up to your expectations.
In this meditation,
We will learn the art of letting go,
Allowing your body to flush out the unwanted energy.
A wise woman once said,
You can't reach what is in front of you until you let go of what's behind you.
Find a comfortable position for this meditation.
Maintain a nice straight back,
Hands on your knees or palms facing up if you wish to lay down for this practice.
Gently close your eyes and mouth.
Let's start by taking in a few deep breaths.
In through the nose and out through the nose.
In through the nose and out through the nose.
In through the nose and out through the nose.
Now let your natural breath take over.
Do not interrupt or disturb the natural flow of your breath.
Just let go.
Release all thoughts.
Steal your mind and let all your feelings float away.
Refresh yourself in this moment and flush out all your unwanted feelings.
Just let go.
Breathe and let go.
Allow your body to restore its inner balance.
Let go of all thoughts and all distractions.
Let them drift away.
Breathe and let go.
To not define yourself with the past,
You will only confine your potential.
To not worry about the future,
You will cause yourself anxiety.
Just surrender to the now.
Be in this present moment as you are here and now.
Just be.
Just let go.
Breathe and let go.
Let go of your thoughts.
You are not your thoughts.
Let go of your past.
You are not your past.
You are the magic in this moment.
The moment for transformation and healing.
Things can change overnight when you're thinking right.
Do not resist.
Do not identify.
Just let go and allow yourself to be.
This moment is moving through you.
Without any judgment or involvement,
Just feel this moment pass through.
Breathe and let go.
Let go of your experiences.
Let go of your feelings.
Let go of everything that weighs you down.
Just let go.
Free your body from all shackles that hold you back.
Now allow all your feelings to come up.
And layer by layer.
Just let go.
Breathe and let go.
Release past tensions and future anxieties by breathing in stillness.
As you breathe,
Feel your body become lighter and lighter.
With each exhale,
Let go even more.
For the rest of this practice,
Just let go of everything that rises up into your awareness.
Allow all emotions and feeling to gently float away.
Blush these unwanted feelings out by focusing on your breath and using your exhale.
Breathe and let go.
Breathe in and breathe out.
And with each breath,
Invite a new energy of positivity.
Allow any old energy of negativity.
Do this until you feel your body,
Mind,
And spirit start to settle into your stillness.
Breathe and let go.
As we come to the end of our practice,
I will leave you with a quote from Dr.
Steve Mariboli.
How would your life be different if you learn to let go of things that have already let go of you?
From relationships long gone,
To old grudges,
To regrets,
To all the could've and should've,
To dead friendships you still hang onto.
Free yourself from the burden of a past you cannot change.
Just let go.
