In Japan, a practice of forest bathing or "shinrin-yoku" means taking in the forest through our senses, creating a bridge between us and the natural world. Journey with me on this soothing and relaxing forest bathing meditation, transporting you into a deep forest engaging all of your senses and allowing the magic of Mother Nature to nourish, nurture and rejuvenate your entire being.

Hello beautiful soul,

My name is Ni and welcome to today's forest bathing meditation.

So I would invite you to find a nice and comfortable position either sitting somewhere on a chair or on the floor with your spine elongated or laying down perhaps with a pillow underneath your knees to support your back.

Finding a space where you feel the most relaxed and supported.

Now that you are nice and comfortable I'd invite you to bring your awareness to your breath.

Slowly inhaling through your nose and exhaling out of your mouth.

Just allowing your entire body to soften and to dissolve into the earth.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go of anything that is no longer serving you.

And just being fully present and fully aware in this present moment.

This is your time,

This is your space.

This is your journey.

Now I'd invite you to visualize yourself either as a young child or you as you are now.

You are walking through a beautiful forest filled with luscious green trees,

Old trees,

Young trees and all sorts of flowers.

So many different smells.

Engaging all of your senses.

What do you see?

What do you see in this forest?

What can you smell in this forest?

What do you feel in this forest?

Walking with your bare feet.

Treading on the fertile soil of the earth.

Can you hear anything in the distance or up close?

Maybe some birds chirping,

Communicating with each other.

Perhaps it's communicating with you.

Maybe some frogs croaking.

Some ducks quacking.

What animals can you hear?

What's coming to your senses?

Allow your imagination to wander.

We will know about it.

And as you're walking through this forest,

You start to witness and you start to feel more and more,

Deeper and deeper.

You feel the warmth of Mother Nature just hugging you,

Embracing you in her arms,

Nurturing you,

Fueling you with her nutrients,

With her energy,

With her love.

And as you walk through this path that's never been walked before,

You start to realise that all the thoughts that you had before entering this forest,

All the emotions that you were feeling upon entering,

Has somehow dissolved.

And that all that's left is pure joy,

Stillness,

Bliss,

And so much connection with yourself,

With the animals,

The trees,

The flowers,

The sky,

The soil.

All of the elements are somehow just so interconnected.

There is this alchemisation that is so divinely beautiful,

This co-creation of one supporting another,

Of giving and receiving,

Of tender,

Loving,

Nurture,

Warmth.

All surrounding you,

And ever so present within you.

Just allow yourself to wander even deeper,

And just see what you discover.

Now I'd invite you to really allow everything that you've witnessed,

Everything that you've been feeling,

Touching,

Smelling,

All that have come to your senses.

Allow that to all sink into your entire being,

Into your soul.

And just continue to carry that throughout your day,

Throughout your week.

Carry that beauty within you.

Carry that stillness within you.

The clarity.

The peace.

Just remember that Mother Nature is always giving,

And that you can always turn to her whenever you need to support you on your journey.

And if you ever,

Ever feel cold,

You can just close your eyes and imagine yourself being in this forest again.

And imagine and really tap into what it has really brought to you and for you.

Know that it is always available to you.

You are safe.

You are supported.

You are loved.

Beautiful meditation! I did it as my morning meditation but I can def see this being a great meditation for ending a day esp a hectic or challenging day.
