Welcome.
This practice will guide you to release anger,
Stress and frustration through your body and restore the natural flow of your wood element energy.
Please find a comfortable seated position or stand if that feels better.
Let your spine be gently upright and your shoulder is soft and relaxed.
If it feels comfortable,
Close your eyes or lower your gaze.
Take a moment to notice where you are,
The room around you.
The temperature of the air,
The support beneath your body.
Let yourself arrive here.
Inhale deeply and exhale fully.
Again,
Inhale deeply and a long,
Slow exhale.
One more time,
Inhale deeply and exhale fully,
Letting your body settle.
If at any point during this practice,
It feels too intense,
You're welcome to open your eyes or pause this practice.
Please move at your own pace.
Guide your awareness to your body.
Notice any areas of tension or holding.
Your jaw,
Shoulders,
Chest,
Belly,
Your hands.
Now gently bring to mind a recent feeling of stress,
Frustration or anger.
Keep the story in the background and focus on the sensation in your body.
Where do you feel it most strongly?
Perhaps heat,
Pressure,
Tightness,
Restlessness,
Contraction or vibration.
This is energy that has been held.
Let yourself feel it just a little.
Take a deep breath in,
Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
As you exhale,
Imagine softening around the area.
You're not pushing the feeling away.
You're giving it space to move.
Again,
Inhale deeply and now a long,
Slow exhale.
Let your body soften around the sensation.
Now,
Begin to introduce very small,
Gentle movement.
You might slowly roll your shoulders.
Softly sway your upper body.
Lightly shake your hands or your arms.
Let the movement be intuitive and contained.
If it feels right,
Allow the movement to become slightly bigger for a few moments,
Letting your body release what it has been holding.
Then gradually let the movement become smaller again.
Let the energy move through you.
As you continue to move,
Imagine yourself as a tree,
Your roots deep in the earth,
Steady and supported,
Your trunk strong and stable,
Your branches moving with the wind.
Feel the energy in your body like a wind moving through your branches.
You do not resist it.
You sway,
Flexible,
Alive,
Responsive.
The energy moves through you and continues on.
Take a deeper breath in and as you exhale fully,
Imagine any excess tension flowing down through your body into the earth through your roots.
Again,
Inhale deeply and exhale fully,
Releasing what you no longer need to carry.
Now,
Bring one hand to your heart or any place in your body that feels supportive to you.
Feel the warmth of your palm.
Feel your breath beneath it and gently say inwardly to yourself,
I care.
I'm allowed to feel.
I'm learning to support myself.
Let your body receive that.
Now,
Come back to stillness.
Notice your breath.
Notice your body.
Notice any small shift,
Perhaps a little more space,
A little more ease,
A little more movement.
You are welcome to continue moving,
Allowing this energy within you to move and express itself through you.
If you feel ready to conclude this practice,
We'll take three slow,
Deep breaths.
Inhale deeply and exhale fully.
Again,
Inhale deeply and exhale fully.
One more time.
Inhale deeply and exhale fully.
And when you feel ready,
If your eyes are closed,
Gently open your eyes.
Thank you for joining me for this practice.
You're welcome to return to this practice anytime you feel pressure building within you.
This will help you restore movement,
Clarity and balance and let that energy flow safely through you.
