I finally belong.

When I look back,

I think I never trusted love to be a place of joy.

So I guarded,

Expected pain and translated that into the experience of love.

Love had to hurt.

Or so I thought.

It's only since I was brave enough to ask for true love,

Love in action,

Love in motion,

Love actually,

Unconditionally,

That I was found by your heart,

By you,

My love.

My heart opened,

Revealing my desires,

My longing to belong,

To live my dream of true love without resistance,

Being seen truly,

Loved as I am.

Now you are here,

Loving me,

Cherishing me,

Being with me in the present,

Creating bliss and joy with me.

And I realize time and again that with you,

I am,

Living my dream,

I am,

Loved,

I am.

I just am.

Because I finally belong.
