Welcome to this meditation on water.
Without water,
There is no life.
And we are over half water.
That in itself shows that we should give it more attention than we usually do.
Imagine you're walking towards a beach.
You're walking down a lane and you can see the beach ahead of you.
It is completely empty.
Just the water,
The sand.
And soon you will be on that beach as well.
This beach looks exactly like your perfect beach.
As you step onto the beach with your feet,
You feel the sand on your toes.
Feel the warmth of the sand as you get closer and closer to the water.
You dip your feet into the water and the temperature is just perfect.
You walk deeper into the water,
Feeling it on your feet,
Your legs,
Your hands.
You walk deeper until the water level reaches your belly button.
Feel how this water surrounds you and what that feels like.
How it refreshes every cell in your legs,
Your feet.
Anything that comes into contact with this water.
Imagine how your in-breath makes the water recede and how your out-breath creates a wave.
With the in-breath you take in the cleansing nature of the water.
Its purity,
Its renewing energy.
With the out-breath you let go of anything that is no longer serving you,
That you want to let go of.
Speaking of beauty,
The smiles on that You see how water that comes towards you doesn't force its way through you.
It doesn't resist.
It simply goes around you.
Water is always in perfect flow and therefore the perfect example for us of how to navigate life.
If we can't go through,
We go around.
We flow and we don't resist.
Now I will let you do some more of this exercise where you take in the cleansing nature of the water,
The purity,
Its ability to transform,
Its life-giving nature,
Hydrating the plants that we eat,
The vegetables,
Giving life,
And letting go of anything that doesn't serve you any longer.
Fears.
You know what to let go of.
As the water starts to calm a little bit,
And the waves subside,
Get ready to fully immerse yourself into this water from top to toe.
The water is shallow enough for you just to lie down in the water and not have to worry about anything.
Feeling this water all around you,
Feeling how it cleanses you,
Your entire being.
It washes you,
Washes away anything that doesn't serve you.
It purifies you.
And most importantly,
It reminds you to flow.
To flow in life and not to resist.
Over half of us is water,
So we most definitely have the capacity to flow in life.
Let's give thanks for water and everything it does,
How it gives life,
How it maintains us,
How it purifies us.
Slowly get out of the water and walk back across the sand,
And on the lane that you came from.
Knowing that this healing energy of the water is always with you at all times,
Because essentially it's within.
As we finish this meditation,
Maybe once you open your eyes you'd like to get a glass of water.
Take a second to appreciate it,
To give thanks,
And then really sense the hydration as you drink it.
Sense it's cleaning energy.
Sense how it heals you.
