Good morning,
And welcome to the Artist's Morning.
My name's Darius,
And this is a 20-minute guided meditation intended to help you feel more connected.
More connected to yourself,
More connected to your heart,
And perhaps more connected to your guides.
As we prepare for this new year,
For me,
The sensation,
The feeling I have when I anticipate 2021,
Is that it's going to be a great year.
It's going to be one of the best years of my life so far.
When I say that,
I don't mean that there won't be challenges.
When I say that,
It's not that I think everything will just,
By default,
Go exactly the way I intended.
Instead,
I say that knowing that no matter what comes up,
When I have a connection to myself,
To my heart,
And to my guides,
I can get through anything,
And not just survive,
But thrive.
2020 was a gift that taught me that,
That no matter how hard it got,
It was happening for me,
Not to me.
No matter how hard it got,
I had power and agency to create that which I desired.
And so with today's meditation,
We're going to ground,
We're going to connect to our hearts,
To our power source,
And we're going to make space to feel and experience perhaps uncertainty,
Insecurity,
The unknown,
And we're going to use that as an opportunity to practice our ability to ground ourselves and come back to our hearts.
With that,
I invite you to take a deep breath.
If your eyes are open,
Close them now as we begin to go inwards,
And in the silence,
Just feel what's here.
We'll open the andean When we have guidance and support and it's clear,
It's wonderful,
But sometimes in the silence,
In those moments where it feels like we are completely on our own,
That's where we can grow the most.
Whatever came up for you during that silence,
That's okay.
If it was peaceful and joyful for you,
That's okay.
And if you sense your feelings and your nervous system,
We're beginning to up-regulate,
That's okay too.
It's a practice.
And in this safe container this morning,
It's okay to make mistakes,
It's okay to feel more intense energy and emotions.
Take a deep breath now,
Just connect with what's real inside you in this moment.
Are there any sensations that are recalling your attention?
How close do you feel with your heart this morning?
If your heart were represented in a color this morning,
What color would it be?
Holding that color in your mind's eye,
Scanning to see if there's any thoughts or judgment towards how you answered that question.
If there is,
That's okay.
Repeat the mantra,
Thinking,
Thinking,
Thinking,
Feeling,
Feeling,
Feeling.
Taking a nice deep breath.
Bringing your awareness to how this particular track,
This song,
Feels in your heart.
Is there excitement there?
Is there something else?
Take a deep breath into your heart and notice if that changes any sensation inside you,
Inside your heart.
Maybe it does,
Maybe your heart stays exactly the same.
Don't judge it,
Just pay attention and notice.
How much permission does your heart have just to be?
Are there rules you have made for how much your heart can feel?
How much your heart's allowed to express?
How close people can get to your heart?
How is your heart this morning?
Feel and listen.
How is your heart this morning?
Taking another deep breath as you bring softness to your forehead,
If it's overthinking,
Bring softness to your mind,
To your eyes,
Your jaw,
Imagining a golden light that's falling down your head,
Your face,
Your shoulders,
Down your back as it melts away any tension.
Any overthinking just melts away here.
You are safe,
You are supported.
We are just playing here,
Dear artist.
In silence,
An opportunity to feel what's here.
When my voice goes away,
When the music goes away,
Just pay attention and feel.
Whatever you felt,
It's okay.
Take a deep breath.
Whatever you felt,
Whatever you are feeling,
It's okay.
Give our hearts permission to be.
To be beautiful.
To be bold.
To be brave.
To be soft and tender.
To be sad.
To be angry.
To be sexual and sensual.
It's not for anyone else to tell you what's true for you and your heart.
I invite you now if it feels right to take one hand and place it over your heart.
This is the symbol of your desire for closeness with your heart.
This is a sign of affection between you and your heart.
Just feel what that's like,
The intimacy between you and your heart.
And I invite you now if it feels right with your hand on your heart to ask the question,
Am I alone?
And just listen.
Listen to what comes up.
I'll stay quiet.
Ask your heart,
Am I alone?
Maybe you did the exercise,
Maybe you didn't,
That's okay too.
This is our last song.
This meditation was made on December 30th,
2020.
Second last day of this epic year.
This is our last group meditation of Artist's Morning in 2020.
One thing's for sure,
In my heart I feel so much gratitude and love for each and every one of you.
I feel connected with each and every one of you,
Even the ones I've never met in the 3D world yet.
We are connected,
Dear artists,
We are connected,
Dear creator,
In ways that we can't even understand.
Thank you for all you do,
Thank you for the energy you bring into this world.
Thank you for all the colors you paint with,
Even the sad ones,
The angry ones,
The uncertain ones.
Thank you.
And of course,
Thank you for your beautiful heart.
I'm gonna put my hand on my heart now and silently transmit a message from my heart to yours for the rest of this song.
Here we go.
Big thanks to Quality I don't know about you,
But I had full body goosebumps for that last piece.
Thank you for playing along.
Thank you for this incredible year,
Dear artists.
For those of you I have not met yet,
My hope,
My intention is we connect in this new year.
Whether it be in these meditations or in a live session,
Or maybe in the cosmos during one of our meditations,
We'll meet in a different world.
Who knows?
Regardless,
Thank you for meditating with me.
As always,
I'm going to put 15 minutes on the clock for those of you that are joining us live.
An opportunity for us to express whatever came up during this meditation,
Whatever's here and real for us.
Those of you at home,
I invite you to do the same.
Put 15 minutes on your clock.
Get a pen and paper and just start expressing.
Give your heart permission to feel whatever's real.
Thanks again.
My name's Darius.
We'll see you in the new year.
