So find a comfortable seat or if you would like to you can lie down and let yourself settle and arrive.
So first we're just going to practice really taking our seat,
Just feeling your body,
Feeling your grounding cord,
Feeling your feet and tailbone sinking into the earth.
For me right now I can hear my family in on the other floor living life and so I'm taking my seat in the midst of my life,
In the midst of my family life.
There's no such thing as perfect quiet in a home with two small children and that that's okay.
That I can make room for any felt sense,
Any energetic experience I'm having,
Any noise or sound or smell that might be in the space.
It's all just experience,
It's all part of it and I can take my seat right in the middle of the mandala of my life and allow it to be exactly as it is and allow myself to be exactly as I am.
Letting yourself settle into your body,
Letting the golden bowl of your pelvis hold you fully and allowing yourself to ground and connect and settle and as you do that you can start to receive.
Receiving life force up through your feet and your pelvic floor,
Your points of contact with the earth.
You can also imagine receiving support from your central channel,
Supporting your spine,
Your back line and as you feel that sense of connection just starting to let your body release and let go.
And now I'm going to just invoke this idea of taking your seat at the table of life.
For me I don't visualize like an ornate table in any way with anything on it.
I just actually kind of imagine this golden force field of the table of life that I'm just pulling myself up to.
It's just this idea of I'm arriving at my place in the universe where there's all this support and nourishment and bounty and presence that's just right there ready to meet me.
That I don't have to go one more place or do one more thing or help one more person in order to just arrive in my life,
In my wholeness,
In my enoughness.
So for myself my experience of arriving and sitting at the table of life is just this sense of this kind of golden luminous warm nourishing presence that I'm just connected to.
That I'm receiving from,
That I'm in my place and there's nowhere else that I need to go and nobody else I need to be.
See how that feels for you and of course if there's a visual that comes or if you want to imagine a throne that you're sitting on full of crystals and light just whatever helps you arrive and feel supported welcome that whatever comes.
What if I lived from the truth that I am already whole and well?
There's nothing wrong with me.
I am having this human multi-faceted complicated experience of a relative human life and there's nothing wrong with me.
What if I lived from the truth that I am already whole?
Allow yourself to take your seat and receive and just be for a while.
And this practice can often bring forward awareness or a felt sense of parts of us that aren't used to knowing they're enough.
That are used to working really hard to get somewhere.
Parts of ourself that think we have to earn love,
Earn connection and see what it feels like.
It's almost like an orphan child or an overworked shamed perfectionist part of ourself.
Whatever shows up for you today letting them sit at the table of life.
Letting them have a sense that they belong.
That how they feel is okay and that there are other options available to these parts of ourself.
That perhaps we don't have to try so hard.
Perhaps the story that we have to get to enough or earn love is really old.
That it's not connected to a reality that's happening now.
And so you can just be and update your nervous system into this new truth that you are deeply well.
Another way to imagine arriving or sitting at the table of life is it's like if you could imagine this most loving,
Caring presence.
Whether it's your protector,
Your guide,
Your guardian angel,
Your higher self,
The divine in whatever form speaks to you.
Imagine it's like it's pulling up a seat for you and saying here sit here rest receive nourishment you are home.
You are home.
Come inside yourself and be cared for right now.
We've got you.
The table of life,
The mandala of your experience,
The matrix of the hologram of your life is holding you and you can just rest right now.
Rest and receive and allow these parts of you that try so hard to be okay to just be okay.
And the old stories they're reacting from some belief you adopted under your family of origins roof.
Some story that patriarchy or modern culture told you about yourself.
You can just let that fall away and experience your enoughness right now.
And let it be very somatic.
It's like an infusion,
Like a love IV,
Like a plugging in at the deepest level,
An opportunity to soften and let go.
Invite all of you to the table,
Especially the parts that often don't get invited,
The parts that are waiting to be enough,
The parts that you wish you could get rid of.
Invite them all to sit and receive part that's just not there yet,
According to your mind.
Not enough of something,
Some barometer of wholeness that you've created for yourself.
Welcome it to just stop and sit and soften and let go.
See if you can plug in even deeper through sit bones and tailbone,
But also through whatever portal just appears to you that might help you connect to this sense of nourishment from the space in and around you,
This table of life imagery,
This unconditional love that's being offered as you get to stop and receive.
Byron Katie has this wonderful quote that I love so much.
She says,
Without anyone to compare yourself to,
Aren't you perfect?
Without anyone to compare yourself to,
Aren't you perfect?
We've all heard some variation of that saying that it's not about the destination.
It's about the journey.
And this table of life practice is about nourishing you on your journey.
It's not about the goal.
There's no end point that you're going to arrive at and be okay,
Or be perfect or be loved or in this way that you think you need from the outside.
You don't have to get anywhere.
This seat at the table of life is just nourishing you for the journey that's right here.
Moment to moment.
My archetypal teacher Robert Ohado says,
We are all moments to be lived,
Not something to be fixed.
So let the table of life nourish you.
And all these moments that you are experiencing that make up your life,
Nourish you on this journey of this human incarnation.
And let the goal or the destination or that someday somewhere in point we think we need to perfectly get to just letting it go,
Blessing it,
Letting it go.
And see what's here right now inside of you.
That's being nourished and is already enough.
And let the nourishment and vitality and well being that you are seated at seated on,
Connected with in this practice start to infuse into you on a cellular level.
So that every cell inside of you,
Every atom that makes up the experience of being you knows fully that you are supported and that you are deeply well right now.
Allow it to nourish you.
You can use this practice in your daily life.
When you're having a hard time,
When you're having a big feeling you don't quite know what to do with,
When you're trying to make a big decision,
When you're feeling triggered,
It can be helpful to just imagine taking your seat in the middle of your life.
All the support around you and underneath you and above you that you need to come home to your truest,
Most aligned self.
And just take a moment to just feel loved and just feel okay and to remember that you are enough.
And when you know that you're enough,
If you could live from that truth,
What decision would you make in that situation?
How would you take care of yourself?
Is there a boundary that needs to be made?
Is there a truth that needs to be spoken?
Is there self-compassion or kindness that needs to be integrated in your life?
Is there a part of you that feels very scared and alone that could really use a few breaths of kindness and love to feel heard,
Feel seen?
We so rarely do that for ourself.
We just try to get to the right answer,
To figure it out,
Or get through the hard thing.
What would it be like to just pull up to the table of truth and kindness and compassion and just sit there a little while before you do anything to try to perfect your life or perfect yourself and remember your wholeness and enoughness.
And once that's in place,
Once that felt sense is coming online,
Then see what it looks like life wants from you or what that relationship might need to come into more wholeness or clarity.
So I'll give you a few moments,
Perhaps there's something that came up in your day,
Something that's been on your mind,
And see how it feels to relate to that topic seated here in this rooted,
Beloved,
Nourished connection that you are in.
If you knew that you were enough,
What would you want to do with this situation in your life?
Is there a part of you that could just use a little more love to help it relax?
And perhaps you don't know what to do in a situation.
Can you love yourself even as you don't know?
Can you receive the nourishment of life even when you don't know what to do?
One of my most beloved meditation teachers,
Dr.
Dr.
Dr.
Dr.
Dr.
My most beloved meditation teachers,
Sharon Landreth,
She often will say,
Life loves its creation called you.
Let life live through you as you.
So if it's true that life loves this creation that is you,
It's not waiting for you to get perfect.
It's not waiting for you to be lovable or enough because those are all here already have always been.
Allow that to be true and then see how I can actually just receive from life all the time.
It's just a story I'm telling myself that I have to get somewhere to be enough or lovable.
I can pull up to this table of life any time and receive support and connection with any experience I'm having.
No matter how painful,
No matter how confusing,
Life loves this creation called me that's on a journey with no destination and no end point.
And so I'm just going to rest a little while and remember that I'm okay and I'm brilliantly more than okay.
That taking a few moments to really let your system infuse into this arrival,
This connection,
So that perhaps you will remember that it is there all the time and to take as many opportunities as you can in your day,
Your week,
Your precious,
Precious human life to pull up to the seat at your table of your life and receive and be whole and well.
Beautifully done.
Thank you.
