And today we are going to be just gently internally experimenting with tapping into our intuition and our intuitive sight.
Just opening this sense and familiarizing ourselves with this felt sense in the body.
So just go ahead and wherever you are finding just a little bit more comfort in the body.
Still with the eyes open in your space.
And just ushering in some of those gentle slow breaths.
Just starting to let the mind settle down,
The body to settle in.
Releasing any tension in the body that you're finding.
Releasing any tight grip of the mind as we let the day go.
To just be a little more here.
Good.
And with the eyes open start to notice the eyes movements no matter how small.
Even if the space around us is fully calm and predictable our eyes are generally still searching for information.
And we thank the eyes for that movement that capacity to take in information and continually assess and protect us.
But in this space we want to gently let that guard down.
Releasing the ego,
The eyes from the need to protect.
So just start to experiment with what it might feel like to let the eyes fully relax.
Can you release all of those muscles behind the eye into the head,
The brain.
Letting them relax.
Said in another way,
Start to tune into the peripherals as well.
This often slows the eye down.
Finding some stillness so that your capacity of what you can see expands because you're not focused on anything in particular.
Maybe it feels like your eyes are growing wider.
That's okay.
Maybe you sense the eyes wanting to move periodically.
That's okay.
Just exercising that mental muscle of letting the eyes relax over and over again.
Coming into that soft open gaze without the eyes focused on anything.
And with the eyes now not focused on anything in particular,
They can open up to everything.
It's a way of letting our physicality actually be a little bit more overtly.
Being with all that is here opening up one of our most valuable senses to everything but nothing in particular.
Instead of working to search and find and decode,
You're now just open.
Open to receive.
Can you notice the difference in your being just by shifting this one beautiful sense on purpose?
Strengthening your capacity to just be with it all.
And returning to this state over and over again whenever you've noticed that your eyes start to land on something in particular again.
There are gurus who sit like this for hours at a time,
Open to the world entirely.
Many don't blink for that period of time because the gaze is so soft.
Not forcing themselves to keep the eyes open but being so relaxed that there just is not a need.
So just playing with that idea here,
Noticing how it lands in the eyes,
In the body,
In the felt sense.
Familiarizing yourself with what this feels like so that we may move into the second part here whenever you're ready.
Anchoring in to this feeling,
The sensation in the eyes,
The face,
The body,
The mind that comes with softening the gaze so fully.
Open to the world.
And with your next exhale,
Gently closing the eyes from top to bottom,
Seeing if you can keep that same feeling,
Sensation,
Open awareness within you while changing what the eyes can see.
Maybe your eyes started to search again.
Gently let that go.
Opening up your awareness wider,
Softer.
And can you let yourself be here now with the eyes closed?
Same feeling,
Same idea,
Different input.
Still open to the world.
Though now a larger percentage of that world is your inner landscape.
Whether you notice that shift overtly or not,
We are open here to continue to receive.
No need to search and find and decode.
We can just be open.
This is the energetic difference between a tight grasp or a reaching arm and just an open palm.
Being that open palm.
And I'll let us take a quiet minute here to just be to see if there's anything that wants to float into your awareness,
Releasing any pressure on the subconscious to find anything,
But just practicing being this receptive being open to it all.
Wherever your body and mind has settled,
Just let yourself be there for a few more breaths.
Thanking yourself for being exactly where you are as you are.
Knowing that this is a practice.
Sending yourself both grace and gratitude here.
Deep breath in,
Coming back more fully into the body.
Soft breath out.
Tucking chin to chest.
Taking just one more moment on purpose for yourself.
And whenever you're ready to rejoin the day,
Gently blinking eyes open and returning to your space.
Knowing that that practice of reaching for your intuition through just softening,
Opening,
Being present without expectations or force.
Opening your conscious awareness just like a softened gaze through a softened gaze is always accessible to you.
When you give yourself a moment to settle.
Thank you.
